It's not like I'm degrading the idol group, but frankly if we talk in profit perspective, solo artist will earn more tho. And plusss she's full package and remind me of sunmi. I think that's the just it, her voice alone is recently captivating. She's the type that can take mediocre range songs and make them sound ethereal. That means longevity in career and sales because every variety show can become her stage as well. You don't want that talent shared amongst a group usually because you HAVE to overshadow the member and split the earnings. I think the reason he told her it was a good idea to "redebut" this way is simply because she's now known, and people will respect her wishes as well as talent. That's genius marketing. Hopefully she can go far!

As in her most recent project was featuring in a web-mockumentary starring a cube trainee and Cube Artist (her younger brother) (the mockumentary is half set in Cube) and having featured on BTOB’s music and guesting in BTOB’s first concert and basically always being hyped up by Melodies. Woollim seriously hasn’t done much, even her comeback couple months back was at the same time as her brother’s solo release. Cube doesn’t even mean to promote her.

She didn't make it into wonder girls and jyp had an audition and choose yenny as the lead vocal. From what I've heard she got into a big scandal before debut. It wasn't even a big deal really she just got caught smoking with her boyfriend and knetz dragged her. Watch SF9 'O Sole Mio' MV!! not only her actually, many contestants are soloist like trot singer and many more. They are here because they are still underrated even they are pretty talented. Plus if you wanna talk about the age, it doesn't matter because many contestants were on the same age like her (especially the senior group like Jiwon Spica, U-Kiss members, Boyfriend, etc).

I think if you knew JOO when she first debuted you'd see how she wanted to be an idol rather than a ballad singer. She always danced in variety shows before when she's asked, and I felt like she was always brighter and happier when she was with the Wonder Girls. Also, the reason she had extended amounts of hiatus was because she has bad stage fright when standing and singing ballads. She was found to be drinking underage and dating when she first debuted, and the people weren't so kind about that before. Now, I feel like idols can get away with that a little bit more. People were really cruel to JOO.

It is not easy to debut as solo artist in SK I guess. At some point, I do believe some of solo artists are known because of their group. They already have fans as they work as a group hence make the fans root for their solo. Not all but most of them. Meanwhile, when you debut in this industry as solo artist, you have to start from zero (what a lonely journey at beginning of your career), which is harder than solo artist that first debut in group then go solo. Sorry for my bad English.
