A Controversial Review Of 'The Folk of the Air' Series | THE CRUEL PRINCE 

I'm actually writing a book. I've been writing it for several years. I'm still working on it and I hope when I get it published it gets the credit it deserves.

Hi! I just finished reading this series and reviewing it on my channel so I thought I would put in my two cents. One of the things you said you didn’t get is that Cardan never seemed to redeem himself. I completely agree and that’s actually what I love about Cardan and Jude’s enemies to lovers plot. In most enemies to lovers books both characters end up showing their true colors … they are both good guys! In this book Cardan is really evil and softens slightly as he takes responsibility for the crown. Jude starts good and becomes more morally gray as she becomes involved in sketchy stuff. So I loved how they landed in a morally gray area together. (P.s. I totally agree with the tail being weird lol)

So when I was a young moody teenage girl... I was dragged shopping with my folks for the whole day, when I didn't want to go. We went into a bookshop and I decided I wanted to ruin someone else's day, because I was having a bad day. I ripped out a single page from the middle of a book I saw on the shelf. My mum didn't see me rip it out but she must of seen me just looking at the book and putting it back. She would usually watch me when we went shopping to get ideas what to get me for Christmas or my birthday. When my birthday arrived, I got a book...it was a period drama piece. I didn't know why my mum thought I would like THAT kind of book when I was usually interested in more modern based stories. I didn't read it. Several years pass and one rainy day I finally pick up the book... it becomes an intriguing story and I get really into it. I spent the whole day reading it, but when I finally came to a very interesting part where a girl was in trouble and almost got hit by a horse and cart- a page was torn completely out. I then realised. It was THAT book. I felt some guilt that I almost ruined a good story for someone out there and a little bit of frustration and anger that it had to be the book I had because it was such an interesting read. I never got to read what happened on that missing page.... Until this very year. 10 years later and I have finally bought a copy of the book, just so I can find out what exactly I missed out on. And I now have two copies on my bookshelf. I will never give anybody my first copy because they will miss out on an interesting part of the story. And that is how my love of period drama books begun and the respect of books and other peoples experiences. The remarkable life and times of Eliza Rose, if anybody wants to give it a read.

I've never read this book but now I really want to! This sounds so interesting and I always think fairies are so cool, especially if they aren't portrayed as the typical "tinkerbell" sweet tiny creature with sparkly wings. My favorite book I’ve ever read was “Breathe” it’s about a girl that meets some people to help her bring oxygen back to earth because the government was purposely cutting down trees so people would have to pay for oxygen. Also I loved your video! 🥰

Hey Jessi! I know you love ACOTAR, I'm absolutely obsessed with it and finished the whole series in a week lol, but I HIGHLY reccomend that you read the Throne of Glass series. It is also by Sarah J. Maas and the fantasy plot and romance is on point! It is so easy to get attached to the characters and you'll be looking at fanart for hours. I just want to say keep up the good work and I'm so glad that you made a book-themed RU-vid channel. Us bookworms have to stick together!

I have started reading this book and I am nearly done with it. I'm not the biggest fan but all my friends love it. To be honest it's cool to have a load of different prespectives.

The book series I would recommend would be the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children series. It has a very creepy element to it which is right up your alley. I started reading the fourth book but put it on hold so I can read the Disney villain books by Serena Valentino and oh boy, this series is dark for something Disney related. I'm almost done reading book 6 and highly recommend reading it if you or anyone reading this comment is interested.

As someone who loves folk of the air, and hates acotar (but have still read all the books its like a like/hate) they are definitely nothing alike. I feel like folk of the air is way more fairy-ish while acotar is more like immortals, but they dont seem like fae to me. Love watching reviews by ppl w diff opinions, you're def right about that (I had to pretend the tail didn't exist too tbh ha)

My favorite book is a graphic novel and it's Drama by Raina Telgemeier! It made me fall in love with acting and especially the backstage fun!

I absolutely love this series, and I think part of the reason why is because I was kinda attached to it in a weird way, since me and Jude’s twin share a name. I was surprised that Holly chose the name Taryn because it isn’t very popular. Very good book in MY opinion, and I agree with you on the fact that it’s always interesting to hear different opinions. Also, I really don’t think it’s for younglings because of the couple swear words, it makes sense that’s its YA. For middle schoolers and up. No spice at all just like you said, and at first I shipped Jude and Locke, but then you know what happened. Never shipped Cardan and Jude. Perfect review, even though I adored this series.

I’ve been reading “ The curious incident of the dog in the night” in school and it’s become my favourite book! It’s a really nice story.

I love/enjoy to read manga's, I got some manga's during new year's and I've read almost all of them.! I enjoyed the Promised Neverland manga it's quite good, the storyline is also really good. Through r.i.p Connie :( I also feel bad for Emma to. The promised Neverland is about 5 kids at an "orphanage" trying to escape. Their names are Emma, Ray, Norman, Don, and Gilda. The mom of the house, Isabella is trying to stop them from escaping...Will the 5 of them escape with the rest of their siblings or will they fail.? Read it for yourself.! Lolol. The next book I got is Haikyuu, It's a good book as well. It's about a boy named Hinata and he loves volleyball. In middle school he plays against a guy named Kageyama though hinata loses he swore he'll beat him one day. Except when he goes to highschool finding out he'll be playing with Kageyama..Will they refuse to play with each other or will they work together and be teammates? Lolol read it for yourself.! The last manga I am currently reading is Death Note, Death Note is about a boy named Light a straight A student he's very smart. One day he saw a notebook fall from the sky after class he went outside and picked it up. He realized it said the word Death Note on the front of the book thinking it is fake he puts it in his bag and goes home. Light soon gets curious about the book and decide to write a name in it, he decided to write a criminals name in the notebook after writing the name, The criminal dies. Light is shock and a few days later a shinigami, A god of death appears before Light saying the notebook now belongs to him. A couple days later (again) a guy named L and the Japanese Police Force are determined to execute Kira/Light....Will L and the Japanese Police Force succeed in executing Kira/Light or will they fail and Kira brings "justice" to the world.? Read the book for yourself.!! These manga's are very interesting and so is the anime.! I suggest them.! Thank you for taking time out of your day and reading this.!!

My favorite book I’ve read is probably “The Girl in the Locked Room”! It’s about a girl from the 1800 who was locked in a room to hide from people trying to hunt her down and this girl moves into the house and starts seeing the girl everywhere! It’s such a good book! Love you so much ❤️❤️
