We offroaded our GX since brand new off the lot. "Effortless" was also our FIRST impression off road. There's "modders", then there's offroaders... for the latter its what you do, no what you drive 😊

Well said buddy. Love your videos on the GX 550 and your GX 460. I'm gonna be getting the GX 550 Overtrail + and slowly build into a off road beast. I have a 3rd Gen Tacoma TRD Off Road with adjustable King's and other goodies. I will keep that for shit kicking off road, hunting etc. I will take the GX 550 easy for a couple years... It will go offroading but not get beat like my current Tacoma right away

For on road driving - since the premium and Lux don’t come with EKDSS, do you see that as as a major impact to drive comfort? I feel like EKDSS + AVS + 18” wheels means the most comfort on road in the overtrail. The other versions don’t have EKDSS and larger wheels which i am hearing significantly impacts ride comfort. Did you drive both and it is significantly different on road?

Driving both and comparing them was tough to tell the difference, I chocked it up to a rather minuscule difference. I would need to drive it further on the same pavement to weigh in more

Don’t really need the rear locker. Why does nobody ever talk about Atrac?

We are currently having a 3l diesel 2014 Grand Cherokee as a daily. Do drive Volvo XC 90 once in a while as well as having a manual 2013 BMW 135i (which I hardly drive lately at all since it is always family trips with small daughter on our side). How would you compare comfort and driving sensation on road of GX 550 Overtrail compared to the Grand Cherokee (which we find excellent for long trips due to its comfort and size both on the front seats and back seats due to sufficient recline angle and overall space)? Really considering GX 550 as an upgrade to the trusty Jeep that keeps serving us well.

Those tires are Toyo Open Country AT3. I've had those exact same tires on my truck for close to 2 years now and they are amazing. I had KO2s before and the Toyo AT3 are better for driving out here in British Columbia.

At 12mpg city, you will need to fill up everytime you go to the supermarket down the road. Its 2024, If the car mpg isnt over 30mpg city, they will sit on car lots for years.
