Glen was smart in not answering the interviewers question regarding politics. Why alienate a portion of your fanbase like some of these idiots out there with your own political bias? Some people are too triggered to discuss politics, it would undoubtedly affect records sales in one way or another so why even take a chance, good on Glen. I fucking love Deicide, can't wait to get my hands on their new album.
Good interview Andrew, I listened to it on ITunes. I wish he would have been more open. Hopefully, you can get him to do one of your 3 hour conversations one day. I know he doesn't want to talk about the Hoffman Brothers, but I wish he would have an updated conversation about them. It's a huge part of Deicide history.
I would have enjoyed a longer chat too, but agents schedule in half-hour blocks, making it impossible. On the bright side, at least I got the chance to chat with him; it might not have happened otherwise. The social and political aspects would’ve been fascinating if he’d have been willing to open up.
Wow. That story about his son being taken away while he was on tour in Australia, I’ve never heard that before. How messed up. This was a good interview though!
LIKE THE HELLS HEADBANGERS TSHIRT SAYS "IF YOU DON'T LIKE DEICIDE YOU DONT LIKE DEATH METAL" NO TRVER WORDS HAVE BEEN SPOKEN,,HAILZ FROM SINSINNASTY OHIO👊🏻🔥👹🔥🕯💀🕯
Excluding Morbid Angel and Celtic Frost, it's true! Interestingly, it was during that period that I cultivated an admiration for Cold Lake, an album with the potential for greatness despite the haters
Cool interview except for the part where the interviewer repeated a bunch of stupid ass far right wing talking points like a robot and tried to get Glen to endorse them. LOL Cheers to Glen for not going along with it
What an awesome convo! Glen seems like a really down to earth guy and I'm so grateful to you for including my question! (justllozano here haha, though my name is Gabe) It is truly amazing that they are STILL at it and sounding tighter than ever these days. The new member, Taylor, is super talented and he just GETS IT. Excited to get their new record for sure and when they come back to Philly, it's gonna be my mission to get another guitar pick lol. Will never forget when Steve came out to chat with us a little while back in New York for the Legion anniversary tour. We had shown up a few hours earlier and just decided to wait outside the venue so it was insanely memorable. Even took some pics with us! Still my favorite podcast channel out there! Much love brother and keep up the wonderful work!
@@damondodd5743First Four Albums Only. 💀 Glenny Benny is a great business man, but the Hoffman Brothers always were and always will be the riff-masters.
He had his time. Any live footage from back in the day shows just how powerful the man was, but now he's just a goofy geek who plays with AI out of boredom. 😂
