A Conversation with J.I. Packer & Mark Jones 

Amazing to see a mind that has been devoted to Christ thoughts for 70 years, his mind is not confused or bitter, he is clear, concise, intelligent, humble. This is truly a testimony of God’s blessings to His children, when we seek Him and His kingdom above all else.

A frail body, but a mighty spirit. God's strength is made perfect in weakness!

Two of the best books I have read are Knowing God by JI Packard and Knowing Sin by Mark Jones. These books are not God’s word but definitely point you and drive you to God. Reading Knowing Christ now. 🙏

Beautiful man - never heard of him until today and his passing - will be watching everything I can find on him

What a warm and moving conversation, spoken by someone who practised not only what he preached but continually practised what he needed to - in order to develop such a solid relationship - with God. This truth resonated with me as he spoke, in such a simple yet profound manner. That, truly is the start to cultivating any relationship but more so one with God...time, out of one's busy life is imperative! I could see, he took, that time! In light of J. I. Packer's passing last week, may all be comforted & strengthened by his life, love for God, impact as an 21st century theologian, speaker and author! What a tremendous legacy! Rest In Peace 🙏🏽😥

Such a joy to hear dear Jim Packer’s love of God. His joy in knowing the Awesomeness of God. My husband and I were blessed to study at Trinity College in Bristol when he was Vice Principal. His words are so true. We need to spend time with God and study His Word.

For anyone who has not read ‘Knowing Christ’ or is thinking about reading the book, I would strongly recommend that you bring this one all the way to the top of your reading list, and keep it there for a very long time. It is a great blessing, and a ‘down-to-earth’ approach to the humanity and divinity of Christ, and in turn has become a means of sanctification. Knowing Christ is Knowing God.

This day in my life is a special day for me. Because it was the book written by J. I. Packers book titled " Knowing God " that I bought and read during the mid 80 s transformed my life. I never expected that one day I will be able to watch his interview with the author of the book titled " Knowing Christ". What a coincidence?.The main thing that one learns from the book is that , to worship God in awe and as a mighty one is a right way. Even Stephen .R. Covey writes this ( God centered life) in his book " 7 habits of highly effective people" with a circular diagram. In a way we understand the meaning of living in a God centered world and mange to live by it. Now in the present time the corporate culture has converted the worship into a man centered world type. Naturally , one gets isolated because of this reason. Thanks for uploading this video.

Thanks God that we have this book in the Portuguese version. But unfortunately, many Christians here in Brazil never listened anything about this book. I knew this book some weeks ago from one brother that desired to know more about Christ. Thank you so much Mark Jones to have written this wonderful book.

Glory To GOD!!! It amazes me to realize how much I received out of this 16 minute conversation! I had heard another pastor - recently say that todays modern Christian music and worship is centered around (I) - (me) as well. I think when one reads the Bible and learns the attributes of GOD and GOD'S promises, and all the things GOD has done to provide us with HIS Gospel and HIS plan of redemption; and just how loving, gracious, forgiving, and miraculous and long suffering GOD is - they could only want to give ALL The GLORY To GOD!!! To sum up JI Packer, he keeps stressing that we are small and God is great and that we are man centered by habit and not God centered by habit. By this he means that the Church has failed to teach theology because our theology leads our doxology!

Sadly, as intellectually accomplished as he was, J I Packer compromised the Gospel. Mark Jones and he are birds of a feather. Shame on Banner of Truth for promoting these two gentlemen.
