But then, it's like that Canadian snowboarder who was disqualified because he tested positive for marijuana (a decade or more ago). Most of us thought, "Hell, if he's doing that well on pot, he should get extra points!"
I do consulting work for a defense attorney in Indiana. Marijuana laws are heavily enforced. Don’t drive through Indiana with weed! We get 3-4 calls a week from people arrested while driving through Indiana with weed that was bought legally in a surrounding state.

The sad part about that kind of "discretion" is that it's well documented that it is far more heavily enforced on Black, Brown, and Queer people. I mean, marijuana has basically been legal for all but poverty stricken white people for a couple decades.
