dont think ive ever seen the audience on the hecklers side. Maybe once when the "comedian" was talking shit about gay marriage without actually making any jokes
How to show a "full fight scene" without showing even a single second of that "full fight scene." But hey, I was suckered into clicking and viewing. So that was skillful.
I was suckered too bro! Dude was funny and a real professional with his approach. Thay dude should have been put out before he threw the hands. Too much liquid courage lol
This is what happens when your security is non-existent and the club owners allow drunks to ruin the show. That was pathetic and so unprofessionally run.
Its not the comedian fault though. If you are a libtard and easily triggered, dont go to comedy clubs. I bet that night he found out he was outnumbered like all liberals are. Kepp trying though.
Reminds of the scene from "The Goodbye Girl" when Elliot Garfield is reduced to hawking street passerbys for a dirty bar. Manager tells Elliot to "Get In There" and stop a gigantic drunk who's hassling the girls. Totally overmatched, Elliot resorts to jokes before being decked by the drunk. The crowd applauds. Elliot holding his black eye says, "My first standing ovation!"
@@EconAdviserA great scene in a fantastic film. I wish more people knew it. The other great scenes are when he plays King Richard and then tries to strangle himself.
You handled this amazingly. On The other hand the organizers did a piss poor job with this, it's just unfathomably how they didn't do ANYTHING and let it get out of hand like this
@@stereolababy At some times you just have to improv, since there's no point at which he was going to be allowed to do his set. The drunk was clearly hoping to force him off the stage, but it didn't work.
except, 1 small thing only, he was not in the least funny at all from the beginning. Ya hecklers suck, but the dude was not at all funny, not even a small chuckle funny
it was probably and owners buddy or something like that, no one without any backup from the club wouldnt start a fight just like that. OR the guy was simply stupid which I doubt
It was already mentioned that the guy had been heckling the prior comedian(s), so why did the club let the guy stay? Why not call the police? Or were they afraid of possibly getting charged with over-serving the heckler so they figured just let him ruin everyone else's night?
@@reganelona ! I would never be there! What a waste of time! Humor like music has declined! Profanity is not funny. Synthetic music and autotune is not music!
I FIGHT BROKE OUT ON ME TOO. THE WHOLE BAR. I was doing an open mic 2 minute bit, maybe my 3rd appearance. I was at THE WHISKEY BEND in Burbank California. A bar maid said there wasn't a fight in 25 years. There were pool balls being thrown. A lady jumped on a guy's back. A gun shot in the parking lot. I didn't say one joke. I just started singing the Annie song "The sun will come out tomorrow". Then during all the melee I pretended to be rocky calling Adrian after the fight. "Adrian " "ADRIAN"! then I got off the stage.
False. Some comedians do call and response as part of their act. Heckling also counts as "yeeeah", "we love you", "you're the best"... and so on... I was the target of a Rich Vos bit because one of his jokes hit our table so hard he became interested in why... like we were all laughing way harder than everyone else... because his joke fit my description and we all immediately embraced it. We weren't giving him shit all night or any other comedians for that matter... it just hit really hard.
Sometimes people drink too much and slip up here or there. but he was being a ahole on purpose. People come to comedy shows to get away from stress he should be banned 4 life.
Well... it's not a poetry recital. Some comics are good at working a rowdy crowd, others are good at making an enemy out of anyone who pipes up, and still others aren't good at either.
when the actual fight started i was just thinking.. "god i hope he will grade the fight or at least something". i knew it because thats what i would do:)
Do you think your comments are going to be seen by the creator? Get a grip, you are talking to the other people in the comments. Stop it with this "notice me senpai" bs.
Every single heckler has main character syndrome. Every single one of them genuinely thinks every moment of life is a pivotal scene in a movie about them. If you dont have the mic, arent on stage and a question wasnt asked, you arent important enough to speak. Dozens of people who arent you came to see the comedian, not "Random guy who came to the comedy club that night". Thats how the world works, get over yourselves
Better yet, this needs to be summarised and literally advertised everywhere feasibly possible. I'd literally pay more tax to have this televised 24/7 in between tv shows. Might wake a few people up but the narcissists would just laugh at it.
South Perth: “Excuse me sir, would you mind allowing our entertainer eight minutes of quiet for him to perform his material? Cheers, thank you.” Atlanta: *IMA BEAT YO ASS MYSEFF YOU DON’T STFU RAH NOW.*
It doesn’t matter how quick witted or funny you are,If the heckler is intoxicated and has a violent streak showing psychopathic tendencies they are not going to stop believe me
The problem s that they believe way too much in themselves ,it's every body else and not them.Let's hope he doesn't have children or plans to procreate.
There's heckling and then there's just being a dick. To keep your composure and combat every comment with quick humour is true skill. This comedian nailed it.
Safety first. He was throwing chairs. That means weapons are involved, threatening other patrons. Clearing the area is protocol. It also means there aren't as many looking when you actually give the guy what he is needing...😊
@@FlattardiansSuck He means by the time the heckler started throwing chairs, it was already too late to de-escalate. Instead of giving one dude an excuse to leave an angry comment on Yelp, the club gave an entire room the excuse. They should have kicked him out after the second time the comic asked him to shut up.
Standup comedians are often the smartest people in the room. Total respect to be able to read a room and off the cuff figure out what might tickle their funny bone or defuse a situation with laughter.
Really love how well he kept the stage and made everyone laugh, truly great humor. What a shame that idiot had to get it all called off short at the end, some people just can't behave in public.
Yeah and... if I were it wouldn't have gone down like that. Says a lot about the Australian as a people to be honest. The world is taking notes Aussies!
Who the hell was the guy who interrupted that sounded like he wanted to be in charge or something? Most importantly, where was the guy in charge of the place ?
I was at the comedy club in Hermosa Beach years ago when 3 big guys picked up this one drunk guy and just carried him out the front door, wife or girlfriend quietly following behind. Audience applauded when 2 of the big guys came back in minutes later. Always wondered what the 3rd guy was doing.
@@jaykay1899 Wait... you mean the Australian comedian in the Australian comedy club is in... Australia? Well god damn. You got me. I have no idea how you got politics from a silly joke I made about security. It seems like you're the one "making everything political".
@@DonaId_J_Trump Okay, whatever you say Donald J Trump. I'm sure your opinion of Portland has nothing to do with your political standpoint. Have you ever been to Portland?
As frustrating that probably was at first, it was probably one of the funniest spontaneous shows ever. Comedian handled it so well, Gotta love the chill Aussie laid-back ness!!!!
Kinda what I imagined an Aussie club night out would be like! Y'all are tough as nails and just as hard headed which is probably why I admire you so much! 😂✌️😁
I go to stand up shows almost every night and this looks more fun than anything Ive ever seen. I wish that I could witness this level of brokenness and escalation every day, for my entertainment.
That has got to be the smallest stage I have ever seen lol. You have your shoelaces in the crowd's mouths. 😂 P.S: You handled yourself a lot better than I would have. For that, you have my respect for life, brother. There's a special place in hell for hecklers. The fact that people intentionally come to a comedy stand-up performance knowing that they are going to become the most hated audience member but still choose to ruin it for everybody else, blows my effin' mind and is something that I will most likely never understand.
@@blueshirtman8875 Worked for slavery, fascism and communism. The utopian idea that everyone is entitled to live in a consequence free world is why shit like this happens.
That "heckler," is actually a fairly normal occurence in today's society because of the lack of accountability, identity, and self-respect. We all see it, but many struggle to be assertive because of fear......
Not enough likes for this comment. The problem is firstly the potential 'heckler' could train in MMA, have a weapon, have friends nearby and secondly if you do fight with them and do serious damage in the process you could either be in prison or worse doxed on social media and have your life ruined. Knowing how far to go as you instinctively fight someone is far harder than people realise.
Resources, but this culture of passivity and fear they are trying to foster on us for the past 50 years will render them impotent when they need numbers on their side. And the fools can't seem to grasp that. We all want the same thing, to live comfortably. Why should the majority be left with the smallest slice?
@andycleary6209 The first rule in Comedy Fight Club is "You have to talk in Comedy Fight Club." Otherwise, no one will hear your crappy, stolen jokes and you'll never headline or get your own special with a catchy title on Hulu. The second rule is, "You have to fight in Comedy Fight Club" and the third rule is, "Don't forget to tip your servers in Comedy Fight Club" because, trust me, they WILL kick your ass. Thank you, everyone! I'm here all week.
@@hannesmonaghan8905 I take it you've never seen Steve Hoffsteder. Even if his sets were nothing but responding to hecklers, I'd watch it. The guy in this clip kept his cool, and that was one heckler who should have been kicked out in an appropriately bouncer-like fashion.
I absolutely love this comedian tho. He handled the heckler so well but at the same times it’s sad because it’s clearly not his first rodeo 😂 if that venue doesn’t have security then it’s no wonder why he’s so good at managing hecklers
