Dear Gemma, I guessed what had happened when we didn't see you at your usual times. I have been watching out for you with concern and hoping that you were coping okay. I was 34 when I lost my father, and you are much younger than that. I can't do anything to help except pray for you and your family and I guess that in itself is pretty worthwhile. I'm glad you have so much support from your followers. I just came across you by accident about six months ago and do get a laugh from your and Sophie's antics. All the best now, Gemma. I know how you're feeling.....remember it well even though it was years ago now. Love from Australia. xx

This is one of the worst sides of youtube - feeling like you’re really friends with someone and not being able to see you and give you a cuddle. I’m so sorry for your loss Gemma, my hearts broken for you and your family. Grief is so, so tricky. You need to deal with it in whatever way feels right to you, whether it be keeping busy 24/7 or staying in bed for 2 weeks. You do what feels right for you, grief is not the same for ANYONE. Gemma I can’t deal with how precious the clip is of you and your dad at his favourite place! That part hurt me so bad 💔it actually felt like the final moment of their meeting and that is it, that was the end, I cried and cried and cried. I pray Gem finds some peace and manages this difficult time in whatever way she finds she can. It literally hurts my chest writing this I can't bare to imagine Gemma's pain and her family members pain. 🤲💔♥️

5 minutes in and I had to pause it to comment. I lost my dad 4 years ago in my early 20s to cancer, I too had never lost anyone close to me before and it was the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever gone through. You are so unbelievably brave to talk about this. Even after 4 years I still don’t think I’ve Greived properly so don’t assume there is a ‘right’ way to do it. Carry on doing whatever makes you happy. You will have moments you forget ( even now I find myself sometimes going to ask my siblings what they are getting my dad for Christmas) You are such a light of beautiful energy I can’t imagine how proud your dad would be of you. I used to speak to him in the sky at night and that would make me feel better. I also feel my intuition has gotten even stronger since loosing him and I know it’s him guiding me so look out for things like that, that let you know he’s still with you. Aww that was so heartbreaking to hear, to lose a parent is the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with, I lost both mine by the time I was 25, the only advice I've got is surround yourself with family and friends, love heals the heart but it takes time, sending big hugs ❤ xxxxx

Never ever apologise for grieving! You’re human and you have lost a very important person! I lost my Nan suddenly who I was very close to and spoke with every day, back in December 2018 & still now, I find myself picking up my phone to text or call her to share little things with! they say time is a healer and it gets easier... I don’t think it does, I think we just learn to live differently (without them) but know he’s always with you! Sending love and healing hugs, & keep smiling, it’s what your dad would want!! Xx

Be strong Gemma💞 when my mum passed away somebody said that “quality of life is more important than quantity of life” and it made me feel a lot better that at least they are not in pain anymore. It’s you who has to heal now. It will take time. Lots of love for you 💝

Omg Gemma , I am so sorry to have heard of your Sad Loss. You don’t need to apologise for getting upset on the beginning of your Vlog Hun. When sad it is always great to talk . So sorry for the loss of your precious dad. I lost my sister 4 years ago and for at least 18 months it would literally take my breath away when I realised I’d never see her again. It’s horrible Gemma but it does become easier You will think of him every day Some days you may be able to look at your photos and other days you just can’t. Well that’s how I felt but everyone grieves differently. There’s no right or wrong way to do it. If you need to take a break away from RU-vid then do it. What makes you feel better is best for you. Your memories of him are yours forever. So sorry again. Sending all my love to you and your family xx

I lost My poppa 6 years ago and still think about him everday. He died from MND, so in wishes I run for MND. So hopefully one day they find a crue for it. My sister came across a old vcr that she put on a cd. We all thought it was lose and i missed hes laugh so much. I heard it for the first time in years and I cry in happiness, it was a gift for him. I still talk to him out load and I know he can hear me as I see feather in random odd places, plus hes sound comes on. So hes still here gem's, look out for the signs, hes not in person but he's here i promisexx

You do what you need to do Gemma!! Grieve is hard, it can take a week, a month or even years to fully come to terms with it, I lost my mum 5 years ago and I’m still to this day struggling to accept it some days but just remember he is looking down on you, he’ll forever be proud of you! Like they say in Marry poppings, ‘they are gone but not forgotten so when you need their love look for the brightest star in the sky and know you are not alone’ We all love you 🤍

As soon as you said your dad had passed away I burst out crying!!! I'm sat in the bath watching this, crying. I'm so sorry for your loss :( I feel so sad for you!!!! Never apologise for showing your emotions, it's your bloody dad. You could of sat through the whole video crying and it's okay because it's raw!!! I really am so sorry!!!! I'm so so deeply sorry, it's unimaginable how hard it must be for you right now but I'm so glad that you found your way of dealing with it. I know that decluttering was also my way of dealing with loss...I know that sharing our stories might bring you some ease so I'm just going to write that my mom is now in remision of cancer but I'm scared every day that it will come back for her.. and even though it's a longterm illness I don't feel any more prepared for what might happen... it's just unreal... Even though it's now 20 years ago that I lost my Dad. I've still cried with you. Your one and only Dad that you will never forget. You will always have the lovely memories of times spent with him. I paused the video 3 minutes in to tell you, girl, it's all good. You take your time and whatever in life carries you through this moment, you do it. I lost my father 6 years ago. We were not close, estranged really, and I hadn't seen him in decades, but the pain is very real. As you mentioned in the first minute, it brings you happiness to put a smile on our face and have a place we can be cosy and forget our own stresses. You do that for me and I thank you. I lost my dad to. I remember the floating feeling. I feel your pain. I cried every time I thought about him for the first 2 years after he died. It pains me to know my 4 children won’t know him. It’s something you WILL learn to live with. Your tears WILL slow down. The pain WILL become manageable. you are not alone. 💔

Autumn prep yes please! Omg so bummed I was meant to be all moved into my flat. But due to issues (not coronavirus) It has been postponed a huge amount. Would have loved to be getting it decorated for autumn! Xx Aww also I wrote this before I actually watched the video. It was a sudden parting, too bitter to forget, those who loved you dearly, are the ones who can't forget. We often sit and think of you and think how you died, to think you could not say goodbye before you closed your eyes. Your life was one of kindly deeds, a helping hand for others needs. Sincere and true in heart and mind, beautiful memories left behind. The blow was hard, the shock severe to part with one who we loved so dear. Our loss is great, we'll not complain but trust in God to meet again. Two tired eyes are sleeping, two willing hands are still, the one who worked so hard for us is resting in God's will. Our family chain is broken, nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one, the links shall join again. This is something I say every night since losing my Dad. ( I hope you don't find it weird me posting this for you )

Kudos for going vegetarian, I also ate fish for a while when I transitioned, but do remember it's still cruel - fish usually die a horrendous, slow death by suffocating, not to mention the horrors of the dairy industry. I hope you and your family are doing OK ❤️

Sending you big hugs Gemma - so sorry to hear about your dad. My dad died from cancer several years ago so I get how sad you feel. But I also have loads of old family videos that are sooo precious as it’s lovely now to watch them and remember great times and see him as he was. And it’s true that there are times when you do speak out loud and feel there are connections which is strange but comforting too. Sending u big hugs 🤗 xx
