This first book was very like Beauty & the Beast for me for most of the book! This genre of book is completely out of my element so the only way I could describe it to anyone I knew that asked was to say it was Beauty & The Beast, Game of Thrones and Harry Potter or something. I didn't mind it but I'm almost finished with book #2 and I'm loving it way more than this first book.

SJM loves to bloat the middle of her books and then absolutely kill it with an exciting, fun ending. lol. Feyre is so BLAH.

just finished the 4th book of this series. if you havent read the coming books, take my opinion dont read any following books and abandon this series.

Every foreshadow was obvious, the characters were weak, and the character development was clunky, the plot was just beauty and the beast, and the fairy lore was basic and unimaginative.

This has 3 scenes of sexual assault against the main character from her later love interest. That is assault against woman for rape. No matter the romance hide. That’s a moral compass fail if anyone forgets it. Period. Beauty and the Beast? So much fail… 😂 That’s true to be a try.but the execution is so much to be far from it as it can. BatB should show inner beauty vs outer. This is the very opposite. He is actually “hot” and acts as a sex offender. The girl should be smart and beautiful. Here she seems to be incapable to act smart (why on earth she wants to go home so much when… ) no logic behind any act of her.and it seems the “beast” is hotter? 😂 Wtf? This book is full with fails. And the prose… repeating herself to make a point. Is it adult or for children? Now that’s an experienced response to the book if you read books as your shirt suggests.
