"You just have to look at things in a non ordinary way. And all of a sudden things have more meaning, because you give it meaning." YES! I LOVE THIS!!!
This is the first video ever seen. I just subscribed. It was beautiful! May I ask what part of the world you live in. The scenery is like something in a magazine
Thank you for your gorgeous videos. I just discovered you and honestly--wow. Incredible content. I might be starting a glow-up series and your content (especially the hygee video) will be listed as inspiration. So THANK YOU!
I actually found it at the thrift store! But I checked the tag and its from Shein :) I also know Cottagecore Things has beautiful vintage nightgowns as well! cottagecorethings.com/search?q=nightgown
Anyone noticed her husband eating Nutella with a spoon out of a jar? That‘s a whole mood 😆 btw I‘m German and the sentence „die Bibiliothek ist in der Nähe“ was absolutely perfect hahaha!
Yup. Desi - wearing fall-themed color coordinated clothing, eating healthy leftovers and fresh water in a mason jar. Her husband - wearing comic-book t-shirt and eating a literal jar of nutella for dinner. Somehow, I identify with both these people.
i have to say i'm so jealous watching videos like that. I feel like I'm slaving away at my dead end job to pay my bills and feed my children. I'm passed 30 and I wish I would have realized sooner what my goals in life is. But i guess I should be happy that I found them. now. And that I have a bunch of life left to live. I hope I have reached the biggest goals (finishing my education, getting my license and moving back to my hometown) in 2 years. Fingers crossed! I'll always have these videos for inspiration
I wish you all the best in your goals. You can and will do. You can go back home knowing you are where you are ment to be. Good luck. Please update us how you go on. Carole
I was just thinking the same exact thing and said it out loud to myself🤣😂 omg first time watching and I am literally gonna romanticize her life we have so much in common not sure who has who beat on the books though lol just love this sweet adorable sister here❤️💕
Okay, so, funny story- my grandma’s name was Naomi. When her grandkids were small we couldn’t say “Grandma Naomi” so it came out “Grandma Omi”. We called her that for years when she found out that Omi means grandma in German. One of her grandmothers was Swiss (second gen immigrant) and the another grandfather was German (first gen immigrant). It was a nice bit of serendipity and I’ve already decided that when I’m a grandma someday I want my grand kids to call me Grandma Omi in honor of her. ❤️
I do the same! I learn for fun and to better myself. I deal with alot of negative thoughts, anxiety, and exc. To study subjects that I've always wanted to learn back in school makes me feel so good. It's really important to find something productive that my mind could put focus on.
I think it is so important to remember that you can still learn out of school. Like you said when you are in school learning doesn't feel very fun anymore because you were forced to and learning should be fun and what you want. I think it's sad that not many people like to learn anymore. Just wanted to hop on here to say that! 😊
I love that you claim research as one of your favorite hobbies because honestly, same. its so relaxing and it really gets my creativity flowing. its so mentally stimulating.
So cozy !! I’m really wanting to add candlelight to my nighttime routine now , it’s so atmospheric. Watching your videos is always a cinematic experience and the highlight of my week!
As a German I’m always super impressed when English speaking people learn German because it’s such a difficult language but you’re doing so well! Good luck!
Thank you so much! I honestly always feel bad for anyone learning English. I think it’s so hard and half the grammar is ridiculous. I’m lucky because I have my mom (who speaks German fluently) to help me out 🧡
*Wow how beautiful are the mountains at your place* 😍 *And I love your taste of furniture and decor! It's also funny, because I just came back from the forest filming the first part of my evening routine* 🤣 *As you're learning German: Wunderschönes Video, wirklich toll gefilmt! Ich freue mich sehr auf deine zukünftigen Projekte und wünsche dir einen schönen Abend* 💚
Me - sees Anne of Green Gables vibes Also me - immediately hits subscribe Edit - also thanks for reminding me how to live well by introducing small rituals into life
Aesthetic queen 🙌 your videos are all so beautiful and calming! The work you put into them SHOWS. You are an inspiration and remind me how important it is to be curious.
That was so lovely to watch. I agree with learning being more fun as an adult. I didn’t exactly love school, but always loved exploring random topics. So don’t worry if you are searching for random things, I think it’s amazing how many „useless“ facts aren’t useless at all and most times add to a bigger picture after a while.
I just recently found your channel and watched already all your autumn related videos. They are perfect and I feel so cozy and relaxed after watching them. 🍁🍂This year I‘m totally excited for autumn and enjoy it thanks to you romanticizing this season. It‘s so nice to see you learning German in this video!☺️ Best wishes from Germany! Keep up your awesome work! ❤
Georgeous video! And your pronounciation is very good! Das Restaurant has a french-ish pronounciation! Keep up the great work! Greetz from Hamburg, Germany!
your videos are always so so calming :)) i study german at university (i'm from the UK) and i promise that articles will get easy!!! It just takes a bit of time and experience and you will have them no problem ;)
I hope your channel grows, you offer one of the most beautiful "worlds" on YT. And production value is clearly superior. Regardless of the topic, I'm always inspired after I watch your videos!
Here I am, rewatching this this year and still getting emotional when Desi runs through the field in her red cloak with her dog. So much joy and love and peace. Xoxo
I love this video so much!!! I too am currently trying to manifest living in the UK again. My dream is Scotland though lol!!! I studied abroad there back in 2015 and have visited once since then and so desperate to go back and potentially live there for longer than a couple of months!!! I can’t wait for the world to open up again so I can try to make this dream a reality!!!!
Yesss 🙌🏻 manifest your dream life 🙌🏻 And I totally agree. We were supposed to spend last summer in England. I can’t wait for the world to be open again ✨ I’ve never been to Scotland before but it is very very high on my travel list. It looks beautiful 🥺
@@mahsaasadian1504 I studied at the University of St Andrews and loved it there!!! They have great programs and activities for students. Also a nice plus is a lot of the students are American. If your worried about moving somewhere without anyone who might be able to relate to you, I would consider asking the universities how many American students attend! That helped me a lot when I was abroad!
These videos are just so motivating for me to get my act together and work on my apartment. Getting it to look nicer. I deal with depression and anxiety so many times, I get a bit frustrated and lose interest in things for various reasons so, I am working my way back into getting it together. Even if that means I have to start chunking some stuff and starting again and getting better organized. I have been in my apartment for almost 9 years and its still hard for me to find places for stuff, even during a time I didn't have nearly as much as I do now! It is beyond frustrating! LOL So, maybe I just need to keep these on throughout the day along with other things that help me mentally and emotionally. just relax, then get moving! (and maybe put down my switch too..lol..I tend to get lost in that little world and end up on it for hours unintentionally)
As someone who also struggles with depression and anxiety I hear you. Have you tried an accountability partner or co-working buddy to help get stuff done? I particularly love co-working on video calls with people. 😊
You’re the sweetest! 🥺 I’ve never really had many friends because I’ve quite shy and introverted. So you saying that makes my heart feel so special and happy! And thank you so much!! I hope you get everything that you dream about too ✨
I always get so excited when you announce a new video. There's nothing better than making a big cup of tea, lighting a candle and getting inspired by your peaceful content! ...and wow, that cottage DOES look dreamy! I'm sure you'll be able to achieve your goals one day, Desi
"Articles are going to be the death of me" as someone who has been speaking German for almost ten years YUP they're the absolute worst...and it gets harder unfortunately but keep going!! I would love to go back to Germany and move there because I miss it so much
Thank you for the encouragement! 🧡 It’s always the hardest in the beginning. I just have to keep going and not give up 🙈 That’s amazing that you’ve been speaking German for so long! 🙌🏻
@@DarlingDesi the article usually depends on the ending of a word. If you know 15 or so of those endings and their respective article you'll know more than most native Germans do.
Right? I really am so blessed to live here. I’m in awe of the mountains every day 🏔 And thank you so much for such kind comments! Your words make my heart smile 🧡🙏🏻✨
School actually destroys children's love of learning. All children have an innate desire to learn but by school presenting grades, i.e. extrinsic motivation, it slowly destroys the desire to learn especially subjects that don't come as easily as others. I've also started trying to learn other languages since leaving school and recapture my love of learning and I'm so glad I'm not the only one
Your videos are so whimsical and relaxing and exactly what I need to help get through these rough times. I’m not trying to copy your lifestyle but I’m definitely trying to emulate it by learning to enjoy the little things and get back into reading and focus on my interests
I love that! Please do 🧡 Take care of yourself and prioritize anything that calms you or makes you happy. And thank you so much for watching and leaving such a nice comment 🥺🙏🏻
Hello dear, you are sleeping around 1 o'clock in the evening and getting up at 5 o'clock in the morning? No offend here please, but that are only 4 hours per night. How do you keep moving through your day, with so little sleep?
I do not wake up at 5am every day ☺️ That 5am routine is my routine usually for the summer and early autumn. Or, when I want to be extra productive in the mornings. I change up my routine all the time. Some weeks I spend my days waking up at 9am, and other weeks I wake up at 5am. It just depends on what my plans are for that week ☺️
Oh my gosh my parents also met in Germany! My dad was in army intelligence and was stationed there in the mid 70's. My mom was working as an apprentice in a bakery. She used to sneak into the local disco to go dancing (she wasn't old enough to get in lol), and my dad would hang out there with her older brothers. They were just friends at first because she was so young, but they eventually started dating a couple of years older. My dad's time in the army was going to be up a few months after they started dating. My mom could either marry him and come to America or stay in Germany and never see him again. She chose to marry him and they were married for 41 years before they passed away unexpectedly a few years ago. They used to speak German in front of us any time they didn't want us to know what they were saying lol. It's so cool that your parents met the same way! Funnily enough, my mom was a Spaniard living in Germany, so all the German in me actually comes from my dad's side.
i was looking for a youtube channel that has the same vibes of Jonna Jinton and omg!!!! I love yours so much! You look like a true fairy!!! Also at who i need to sell my soul for having hair like yours?!?! they're incredible!!!
Thank you so much, friend!! For camera equipment I use my Canon 6D Mark ii. And then I usually film using a 50mm lens or sometimes the 16-35mm lens with a Rode microphone ☺️ If you want more info and details, I’ll actually be launching my Patreon at the end of January, and one of the tiers is going to have educational videos ☺️ One of the first videos is going to be all about the equipment I use, how I film, and how to use everything correctly. If you’re interested, definitely stay tuned for that ✨
That was another beautiful video. I really like all of your videos. Your pronunciation was great, especially considering that you haven't even practiced for a month. Greetings from Germany, Bri
Aww thank you! That’s so nice of you to say 🙈 Pronunciation is one of the hardest things for me. I’ve been watching movies in German so that I can practice the pronunciation that way. Thank you for your encouragement! I hope you have a fantastic day ✨
Your German pronunciation is so good! That is seriously so impressive, because I know how much people tend to struggle with certain sounds. Also if you love Bavaria, I think you'll love Austria!
Oh my gosh thank you 🙈 The pronunciation for some sounds is definitely challenging. But I’m working on it ☺️ And I love Austria! I actually spent a summer teaching English in Europe and I spent a decent amount of time in Austria. I absolutely loved it. 👌🏻
@@DarlingDesi especially all these "ch" "ck" sounds, because they do not exist in English hahaha. I have rarely heard someone having such a good pronunciation after only 20 days! Ohhhh I am so happy to hear that you loved it :)
@@nadine6894 Yes exactly! Those sounds are so hard 😩 I’ve been trying to listen to German tv and movies so that I can hear the sounds a lot. Hopefully it’ll help 🤞🏻
Where I live in Spain, we are having really high covid numbers, so I have been experiencing a lot of anxiety (coupled with my uni exams it hasn't been pretty, to say the least). Watching your videos helps me calm down and switch my brain off for a while, so thank you a lot for putting so much effort❤️ it is greatly appreciated :)
Yeaah! Do it girl! Learn german! I also want to do it but it seems very hard... I'm spanish, I learned english and french and it is so satisfying when you can understand books or people from other places! ;___;
wow at 4:43 it reminds me of "little women", i don´t know. it was really calming listen to you, lovely as always. i feel like, my life is clearer now, at what i want to be.
@@DarlingDesi I have faith that you will! 😊 Especially if you start getting books written in German! I started out by getting books that I know in English and getting the German translation! It's like reading through a new lense and learning to decipher code! The children's series The Magic Treehouse and The Little Prince are where I started. You feel the improvement page by page 😊📚💡🔍❤🌱
Watching this waiting for your next video and heard something that touched me... you said "be productive" and then began to draw. I LOVE sewing but feel weirdly guilty about it, even when it is for my kid or husband... I need to tell myself I'm going to be productive as I sit down to draft, cut, or sew...
Omg girl I’ve always wanted to live in cottage😩! It’s one my future goals but this was truly inspiring and beautiful. Thank you for a lovely video! P.S. I’m your new subbie ☺️
Me too! I don’t actually live in a cottage, I live in an apartment. But I decorate the inside so I can feel like I live in a cottage ☺️ it’s my dream to live in a real one someday! I’m sure it WILL eventually happen for both of us ☺️ And thank you so much for subbing 💗🙏🏻 I hope you continue to enjoy the videos ☺️
@@DarlingDesi My husband and I love going to Utah, we were there during Christmas time in 2019, stayed in Park City and when we woke up the next morning in our hotel room, it was snowing! We were staying next to a nursery, I think it was called Park City Nursery, we went there, saw all the little and big Christmas trees waiting to be taken home, we saw the cute animals, and one big tall camel! I took a few pictures, my favorite was a creek in the middle of the Nursery and snow on each side, it was like a perfect postcard but I took that picture...I love photography, that’s my happiness! We’re planning on going back to Utah at the end of this month or early February for a few days, then to Sun Valley, Idaho after that..we live in California in the Central Valley, away from the big cities. So a lot less traffic and a lot less noise.. (and a lot less expensive than living in a bigger city). Thank you for sharing and may you both have a blessed 2021! 💖
