Hey guys! In this cozy January vlog, I begin working on my novel (code name Project Portrait) again. One of my goals for 2024 is to finish the rough draft of this project; I'm 40,000 words in, with about 50,000 words to go. Based on the productivity of the writing session, I'm hoping to write about 5,000 words per week (though I may be overestimating my time and abilities). Hopefully I can keep you updated on this project as the year goes on.

Thanks for the video! You're really motivating me to get back into writing. The thing that always bugged me was that my writing would change semi drasticly from the beginning to the end. I may experiment with some shorter work and try to rediscover my style. On a side note I also LOVE Earl Grey tea with cream and sometimes a little brown sugar and cinnamon.😄

I had been working on my very first novel for two years and struggled to be consistent. This year I realized I had to scrap the whole thing and start over because it turned out to be a much bigger thing than I originally planned. It is daunting to start over. I'm wondering if I can ever complete it. Thank you for sharing this, it is really motivating for me. I'm going to go write now!

You can do it! Jane Austen wrote Pride and Prejudice twice and man did she ever knock it out of the park. Still trying to get the courage to start mine. I don't even have anything to scrap so you're way ahead of me.😂 Don't get discouraged I'm sure you're a great writer!
