As there hasn't been a vlog last week, this week's vlog is longer than usual! 🤗 It has rained a lot over the last two weeks, and I used the time to go through all the books I've bought and/or read in 2024. We'll also update my reading journal and annotate "Peach Blossom Spring" 🤗

Have you considered getting your dog a thunder vest? It’s a weighted vest that they can wear during storms and it’s supposed to help calm them. A weighted blanket can also help. I have cats and usually they do okay with storms but we have been having hail and tornados lately so they’re extra freaked out. I also read four books in May and I’m a fast-ish reader. I love your journal- so clean and pretty. I really need to sit down and try and work on mine.

My dog is terrified of fireworks, but strangely not afraid of thunder. Where our town does fireworks displays is only a few blocks away from us, so I suspect that is why. I snuggle her and show her extra love when she is afraid. She won’t settle though until the fireworks are over.

It’s the same for mine, cuddling won’t help her in that moment (nothing does). 🫣 She just wants to hide in the bathroom or the toilet, and I‘ve spent several New Years Eves with her in the bathroom watching movies on my laptop… 😅 Good to hear, that your dog doesn‘t react to thunder!
