Its insane watching this era of the hobby nowadays. I couldn't even fathom getting into everything today... buying a 60 dollar 3x3 and needing a sub10 avg to r2 anything... Times were just simpler back then. (also magic was legal OMEGALUL)
I don't really understand that scene at the beginning lol The voice asks everyone to turn off their cell phone, and you're like "Bitch, that's a camera", am I right?
SanicThe Hedgehog So he averages almost half of the world record every time he solves the cube? That's like Usain Bolt making the 100m dash in 5 seconds every time.
+Alex Munoz I'm gonna go to Berkeley winter 2016 and average around 45 secs. gonna use my moyu aulong v2, wich i find like the perfect for me and a fangshi shishaung wich I will get in two weeks.
I'm watching this in 2021 and was 1 when you were doing this comp. Cubing is so different now. I only saw like 1 sticker less cube and GAN wasn't even a thing. The stuff you would buy then for 30 dollars you can buy for 5 bucks now.
Pi that was so funny when you said it takes 2 hours to solve a Teraminx for you when it takes me 2 hours to solve a 3x3x3 when I first started. Awesome video and keep up t he awesome work!
for some reason every tutorial i have tried i cant understand the f2l i have been on the begginer layer by layer this for a year and my time is 56 seconds im tired of being slow
Thanks and sorry for the late reply...I'm leaning full PLL and I'm around 40 Seconds now. I feel a full PLL I might be able to get around 30 seconds. I can always work on F2L Though.
Ethan D. try look ahead f2l!it helped when im sub 55 to sub 45/40 im also learning full pll! not fast at some perms.:( hopfully i get better in 3 days for wca event in toronto im doing 2x2 and 3x3. i memorized about 10/11 pll algs :) halfway there! :D
Paris Dorn No, dont do any of this, keep practising until you get to around 40 seconds then learn full pll then when you get to around 20 seconds learn full oll
Im going to a cubing competition soon, its gonna be my first one! i average about 35 secs, not the best but im just tryna have fun hopefully it'll be great
when I solve a rubics cube I get so frustrated I THROW IT ON THE FLOOR AND SHOUT ANYTHING LIKE FU@# OK SO I HATE RUBICS CUBES I WISH I WAS LIKE PI SO I CAN FINNALLY SOLVE A RUBICS CUBE..
Is this in Wisconsin? (Aka my favorite state is Wisconsin even though I live in Houston We always said "Youbetchya!" So thats why I thought it was in Wisconsin)
Just saying, some kids have done it in 16.54 seconds. But overall Good Job :D I dont even know how to solve a rubix cube. Overall rate i would sat 7/10 :D
53 seconds and i have a trick to solving higher order cubes above 4x4 without more algorithms ill make a video on it u should watch it. Also i need to start learning f2l pll etcetera.
i have memorized 3..1415926589793238462643383279502884197169399375105820974944592307816406206208998628034825342117067982148086 and can solve quite a few cubes
you cant understand f2l? its so simple and intuitive whats your iq? 10? lmao. you basically just use the free slots to bring the 2 pieces that belong together in one of the 2 positions and then insert them its so simple and easy to understand at first you might have some problems to understand how you can break pieces up and stuff but after 15min of doing it you will be able to do every case.
TSA security...what a joke. Like you had a backpack full of "magic bombs" or something. That would be a headline: "cube bomber strikes at airport." Every time I travel, I end up pulled to the side and my carry-on bag is swabbed for explosive matter...every time...I must be on a list, hahaha. Great vid though, good to see this much footage of a competition, looks like you had fun.
"You're probably only about 5 years old?" Is that a question? My statement has perfect logic. Given your previous statements, I'm able to gather the conclusion that you are most likely in the range of 12 years old, or you at least have the mental capacity of someone that age. You can't even prove you take that course, and even if you do, college isn't difficult to get into, especially when the class has no prerequisites. You're right. You can't tell me that. You don't know my mental capacity.
21:25 "It's a funny story. So I was going through security and he's like, 'I'm going to need to go through your backpack.' And, so he pulls out a cube. And another cube. And then, another cube. And finally he pulls out the teraminx and he is just like, 'What?' It was hilarious. And then, another security guard said, 'There's more in this bag too. And they had to send all of them through the security thing themselves and look inside them because you know, these things have screws..." Hilarious
Sure =) sub (x) means that on average, u solve the cube faster than (x). For example, sub 20 means that an average solve for me is faster than 20 seconds. Average doesn't mean anything special in cubing, its just the same math definition. So an averige of "y" = the sum of the times of the solves divided by "y" Hope that helped =)
