I said the same thing with the Dragons in Frieren, Dungeon Meshi, and Mushoku Tensei. It' almost sad and funny that it's such a common thing for them to be mediocre CG at best but lately dragons have been treated really well again and it's absolutely beautiful every time! Fairy Tail treats them decently as well as a longrunning series.
Fun fact : Capella haven't met Emilia in person and she also doesn'y know if Subaru likes her. But, due to her special skill, she knows what Subaru's like from his reactions and behavior.

In case of Subaru's, he desired to see Rem because of his dependency issues he has on her and his lack of self worth and needs her to help his pathetic self up. (red flag btw) Also, anybody who go's near her to close will have their heart stopped. That's her authority. Capella doing what she did by observing Subaru's love, is not her authority, it's just a special skill she has much like how Puck has special skill he possesses that can feel what others feel. Capella authority is morphing her body to what she wants like a chimera and is able to regenerate at a rapid pace. SO with this information, Capella turning into Emilia and not single sign of Rem can give you hints to who Subaru truly loves deep down inside himself and what he truly prefers. So why did Carmilla not have single sign of Emilia? Well in Season 2, Subaru said it himself and Emilia got mad at him for it. Subaru does not wish for Emilia to see him weak and pathetic because he has a fear of her seeing him differently and Emilia in a dead loop in Season 2 told him directly that she won't ever see him differently or hate just because he shows his weak sides to her. Subaru wants to be Emilia's strength and believes he need to be macho for Emilia (which is opposite of what Emilia wants)

Capella has obversation skills like as if shes Sherlock holmes on crack. She can tell just by looking at you who you truly love deep inside yourself. It has nothing to do with what your thinking. Who you prefer based on just some of your behaviors and completely know what kind of person of what they will look like, who you desire as a romantic partner, what kind of personality they will have, what you would FEEL for that person, why would you feel for that, how you would feel for that person, the love you would have for that person. Just like OP said, Capella doesn't even know about Emilia, what she even looks like until afterwards from Subaru. Basically Capella is telling you that Emilia is Subaru's dream type of girl. Someone he loves from the very bottom of his heart and what he prefers out of everyone.

@@Gee-bg2rvNot necessarily. If Subaru’s checkpoint isn’t far enough to the point where he can’t interfere with those events it still makes sense go have them develop. (So he could restart right before Julius tells him to fight Capella. This checkpoint makes the anastasia stuff and flooding stuff impossible to prevent.)
@sonkokun6824 that's the thing though, if he was going to reset, showing us these developments with the characters is useless because Subaru doesn't know what's going on with them and therefore can't interfere or change it meaning these events would still play out the same regardless of him returning or not. So there is 0 reason to show them if he was resetting. I'm not saying he's gonna go without resetting for the rest of the arc, but it'll be at a point after whatever develops with them leads them to Subaru to the point where he can finally get involved and change the outcome and after his "checkpoint" updates if that makes sense
@@Gee-bg2rv The point I’m making is that we could be show these moments exactly because *he can’t change them.* That way we don’t have to go over them if he resets, because nothing changes. We can move on with his POV and maybe they can reunite later on.
That scene with the flies is downright horrid. Capella's whole thing is hating humanity so the worst thing she can do is take away a person's humanity which she more than gladly does. She is also confirmed to be the most evil person in the series so yeaaah
Btw when Subaru and crush escaped with the dragon, despite being literaly handycaped and in agonizing pain Subaru still managed to tie crush on the dragons leg with his whip, which is why he later couldnt hold on and passed out cuz of exhaustinon or bloodloss
The studio cut out important information in season 1 of Re: Zero with the conversation between Subaru and AL in the carriage. At the end of this episode, there's a chibi show (called Re: zero BreakTime) that sums up their conversation. AL and Subaru are from the same hometown (Japan). AL has been in that world for 19 years.

@vendacity Many times anime adaptations of beloved series don't get more seasons for who knows what reason. And keep in mind it took 4 years for S2. And another for S3. Thankfully it seems Kadokawa will start putting more resources into Re Zero and studio WhiteFox
Peak:zero, this episode was once again insane. Capella is definitely lust😳 And her transforming into Emilia was fckn vile, but what I did notice is that she didn’t exactly look like her, the face wasn’t quite right, which was kinda interesting..
Guys you gotta remember that in S1 Subaru said that in this world he's actually physically super strong for some reason. Remember that in one of the loops he tried to fistfight the bandits and knocked two of them and was going to win until the snakey dude pulled a knife out.
Actually that was what he though, he though he had super powers that would give him super strengh and all that, but yeah he was a martial artist that's what helped him take on on 2 of them.

Aoi Yuuki going absolutely crazy this season And the animation especially this episode was amazing. Capella Disrespecting Crucsh was… “well animated” 💜 This adaptation has been so good (except for the Al thing but that’s more of a season 1 issue.
There's a mistranslation. She transformed the people into flies and says to Subaru that he is disgusted and he hates them (the flies). Is simply "you can't love anyone but me" so if they are disgusting the only one who can be loved is me.
I know we've seen Pandora, but Capella somehow also seems so fucking OP. She can transform any part of her body into anything, turn people into flies, regenerate any wound and also control dragons(?). I actually can't imagine anyone except Reinhard beating her in a fight
she said that the flies and the dragon were people that she transformed (though in her first appearance, she had turned herself into a dragon obviously)
Subaru and his whip. Yeah, he *is* real good with it. Since it's a fantasy world and he has connections, he might be using a magic whip. +5 Holy Avenger Whip! Lust's blood splash might have kept Subaru from bleeding out. Also, the forbidden technique of Felix/Felix/Ferris could be involved.
interesting how the archbishops not only have theme of their sin with their skills but they also seem to aim to punish the ones who commit this sin while at the same time are completely consumed by that sin
4:10 Since you asked what happened during the time skip, it's nothing so detailed, but it was an entire year of hellish physical training (Using the obstacle course he made which is an insane obstacle course for regular humans), he learned quite a lot of parkour too and trained under the guidance of a master of the whip (one of Rooswaal servants that we haven't really seen in the anime yet, but people presume this servant has killed Hector, the melancholy witch factor guy, so yeah, a monster). So, to summarize, hellish training, parkour and trained by a monster of the whip for an entire year nonstop, I feel like this kinda beats Saitama's training. At this point, readers of the novel believe Subaru's resistance, and strength would put him at least up to the 10% to 5% humans of our world (which still sucks a$$ for the power levels in Re:Zero's world but hey, it's something at least).

If you guys remember, the tome of wisdom is the book that Echidna gave to Roswaal and Beatrice that told them basically what the future would be like. Which is how Roswaal was able to know and adapt to all of Subaru's plans in S2. Otto, however, is not in the tome of wisdom at all and Roswaal didn't even know he existed which is how Subaru blindsided him and saved everyone. Beatrice left her copy in the burning mansion when Subaru saved her and Ram threw Roswaal's copy into a fire. So they should both be burned to ash. But apparently someone managed to salvage one of the two and the bad guys want it now. An artificial spirit would be any spirit not created naturally. So like how Echidna "made" Beatrice. And lastly the marriage of Emilia is simple. But we now have three extra demands on our plate and the city is in ruin

@@Gee-bg2rv To start, I also just a anime watcher (for now at least) but if my memory serves, the explanation was along the lines of: "This guy is so insignificant that the book straight up decided not to mention him." And to add to that, this "Tome of Wisdom" was granted to Echidna by her Authority (which makes sense since she's all about knowledge). The fact that this "all-knowing grimoire" overlooks things it deems inconsequential makes it imperfect and therefore fallible. Which is why Otto is such a joke character but not really XD It's incredibly poetic. Roswaal had what was essentially a cheat sheet only to realise that even his teacher's gift didn't contain all information on future events, something I have no doubt Echidna also knew about hence why she is well... she's dead and doesn't know all things even with all the powers she possesses.

If I'm not mistaken, I think that Gluttony is not just one, they could be twins because this one doesn't look anything like the other. They have the same face but not the same hair or the same clothes. It could be that they are different because the first one that appeared is in another part of the city.

They mistranslated part of the Anastasia and Kiritaka rescue operation. The subtitles for Anastasia says she was going to buy time but she was actually asking Hetaro and Tivey to buy time for Felix+Mimi to escape and Anastasia and Kiritaka to regroup elsewhere. Anastasia was also sending some hand signals throughout that scene that I didn't totally understand. What you sayin' Ana? What code is that? 🤣🤣
I've not read ahead so this is just conjecture from me but I'm thinking the other sin factors are corrupted by satella, like their individual concepts are wrapped around her "love". That's just me thinking over the anime though.

yo nows a good time to mention that apparently the gravity in this world is weaker than on earth, which was skipped in s1 i think when he started fighting the thugs in the alley which explains how he can carry people with ease, but still the other people in this verse even more roided out
[minor spoiler] Emilia being number 79 actually goes back to her flashback in season 2 when Fortuna and Geuse were fighting him. Regulus wanted to make Fortuna number 79 but since she died he left the spot open to be replaced. Not sure if I'm making the following detail up or wether it was in the novels but since all the elfs in elior forest were frozen by Emilia there wasn't anybody else who resembled Fortuna left so it would make sense that the spot has been open until now.

He can't absorb the knowledge, he actually has more remarkable skills with whips and parkour, the blessing of Reinhard's training master is the only way to force Subaru to be in his apcie but Reinhard is busy with the royal selection, And he can't dedicate a lot of time solely to Subaru, and not even go anywhere freely because of the Reinhard law that treats you like a walking atomic bomb, imagine like a class in RPG, in this world Subaru was born to be a suport.
