Filmed in 2014-2015 The hard work dancers are putting in day after day is simply remarkable and very inspiring Filmed and edited by Dancersdiary @dacersdiaty films
He looks like an ancient greek sculpture. I mean he doesn’t look ancient, obviously but his body is just so defined. Very talented young man. 👏 I don’t even want to know how many hours he practices.
I'm possibly a little biased (proud Australian here) but there is something so unique and simply breathtaking about this beautiful man and the way in which he moves...such clean lines ..flawless technique and seemingly effortless precision ...utterly sublime ...
As an ex dancer myself and coming from a family of dancers ,I know how hard he works and the innate talent this man has .He is just brilliant .I wasn’t meaning to offend anyone ,I just wanted to acknowledge how amazing he is ,not only with ballet but all dance styles. He will become a legend.
I studied ballet for 17 years and was defeated at the last moment by injury. It’s an extremely physical life and I’m so happy to see this young man achieving his dreams by talent and enormously hard work ❤️
I am so sorry you had to deal with this cruel blow. I hope this does not sound trite, but I think participating in the arts, regardless of outcome beyond our control, is a victory all its own. I have yet to successfully publish a full-length novel in any wide-based manner, but sharing my work (excerpts, plus poetry and non-fiction) with individuals, on-line, and at readings, and enjoying great works of art to me is a wonderful way to live. You are go gracious and such a beautiful spirit your joy and happiness for this gentleman. VERY best wishes to you!
do u mean before joining the corp whilst still in your school or when in the company or even shortly before making principle sorry for the question im dead curious....was the injury so bad there was no way to fix it ?what kind of injury was it ? was it possible to play through the pain ? because i danced on my injury till i got permanently fucked more or less adhd and injury destroyed me as a dancer mate
Really really beautiful. No narration needed . . . It's a shame my father was such a typical macho prick, because as a child I had real talent and ability for ballet. My mother enrolled me in ballet classes but my father opposed. After about a year I dropped out because he made me feel embarrassed. I remember once we went to see the national ballet and clapping effusively and looking over at my father giving me the evil eye and long face. That shut me down completely. I sometimes wonder what I might have become if I had had the support of my father....
@@judymanning2538 Thank you. I'm sure there are many other men with similar experiences. Fortunately I have other talents and abilities that I was able to develop, but I'll always wonder "what if" I could have pursued a career as a ballet dancer.
A wonderful meditation on one of the premier ballet dancers of his generation. His speed, power and control are almost preternatural. So glad his work has been documented so clearly. Many generations of dancers will watch this.
Gorgeous legs, gorgeous feet, gorgeous technique, gorgeous dancer and is as limber as a woman. He is so splendid my jaw has dropped. The most gorgeous cabrioles I have ever seen in my life. Every step he performs is on such a high technical level.
I’m an old lady now, so I’m allowed to give you all some of life’s wisdom; It is impossible to dance and be depressed simultaneously, I’ve tried it for 40 years, and it is not possible. This is reason good enough to start dancing. No age, gender or size can prevent you from dancing, only you can, and it is not a good life if you don’t dance some steps every day. So allow yourself to dance, and you will discover a new world, new emotions and pure happiness. I have danced while being morbidly obese, while being pregnant, while being underweight, and while being in bed for years with severe disabilities. Rhythm knows no limits. I danced with my hands and fingers for five years while being linked to a bed. I danced at age 40: 50 and 60. My friend is 80 and is still dancing every day. Although I had plenty of reasons to be depressed, it is physiological impossible to be depressed if you dance. Do not EVER let someone tell you that you are too fat or too thin, or too old or have the wrong gender to dance. Do not let anyone tell you that you have two left legs and no rhythm, that only means you have your own rhythm and funny feet. There are hundreds of different styles of dance out there, meaning there are a style for everyone, or you can invent your own. Dancing together is more fun than dancing alone so consider doing it with someone else. Happy dancing!!
This is just what I needed to hear. Am 66 and returned to ballet after 40 years. Still in love with it but have put weight on since stopping smoking ( now addicted to chocolate instead of nicotine) and hate my body. However you are right in that dancing outweighs the depression. Will continue doing what I love - albeit a bit more slowly with my metal knee and ankle.
I agree with @almostthere2516! I started dancing at 6 months old, while sitting on my mother's lap, whenever an Elvis song played on the radio - I'm old too. I danced semiprofessionally, got my degrees in dance and dance history, just retired from teaching elementary school where I volunteered after school to lead dance clubs or create school variety shows for almost every one of my 28 years working - and it's still not enough. At 66 years old, I grin throughout my classes at the gym where I'm learning new styles of dance and having a blast! I hate exercise but when you get to dance to your favorite music, your body releases endorphins and you can't help but feel happier than you would have otherwise.
I’ve always thought ballet dancers have the best physique because they have muscle, they’re toned, they’re flexible - and always well proportioned. What dedication tho. I can’t even get my head around how he can move like that.
I've always liked Steven McRae - great dancer with rock solid technique. Think we wear the same brand of shoes but that's where the similarity stops. Great beats and entrechats.
Geez, he has a great center for his turns! It is so satisfying to watch someone look at themselves in the mirror and then put their foot down instead of falling out of the turn. Almost as good as doing it yourself 😊 And can we talk about how his shoulders NEVER went up when he was doing his grand jete turns in the center? 🥰
You have contributed to the world of dance by your commitment, your diverse talents and physical and emotional strength. Take this from someone who admites those wualities. Forge on !!
Pure poetry in motion. Ballet is so very tough on the body and when see him land on that hard floor creating shock waves from up the feet oh my! PLANTAR FASCIITIS.
Magnificent dancing! What a workout! Love the sleeping tiger. You have such beauty, such elegance and strength. Kudos for the hard work to create this.
If a UFO landed here and Aliens watched this they might think we can all do this. 😂. I know this is random but this is otherworldly in terms of dance. Amazing!
At sixty I find your exercise routine familiar watching for the first time, realising how far I still have to go, it maybe a little late to go all the way❤
A lot of potential? Dude, he's the principal dancer with the Royal London Ballet. He's already in the highest upper echelons of dance, it's hardly possible to get higher.
