Guess its different than drama. All arts are difference which makes them beautiful.. In drama nerves are important because it keeps you alert, excitement is fine but don't waste that energy with playing around too much, save it for the show.

@Laura-Yu

Waddabub Yeah, something about the genes expressing dry earwax is also correlated with less body odor. Apparently ~90% of Koreans have it- not saying Koreans don’t smell because we do but probably translates into less stronger body odor than other ethnicities. Europeans/Africans mostly have wet earwax. But yeah, I agree with just because you don’t think you smell, doesn’t mean you’re not smelly😂
@astoriarego8304
@astoriarego8304 4 года назад
Yes, due to variants in the ABCC11 gene, East Asians don't have the same number of apocrine sweat glands. These secrete the proteins, lipids, etc which atteact bacteria, which in turn produce odor. Modified apocrine glands produce ear wax, which is why a variance in the gene also changes ear wax. Signed, A deodorant loving white person who used to live in Seoul.

As a former dancer, let me debunk the stigma. Not all ballerinas starve themselves for vanity. When you're dancing and constantly moving, it's not practical to eat large quantities of food. Especially if you have only 45mins-1 hour lunch, there's not enough time to eat and digest thoroughly. It's simply not practical to eat things like burger then go off to jumping and moving right after. The reason a lot of dancers eat light is so that the food is digested before doing intense physical activities. It's physically uncomfortable to eat a lot because you're bloated and can get nauseous with all the food moving around. With light food, one can dance comfortably with enough energy without being uncomfortably stuffed.

Enrida J we definitely do overeat as a society but she specifically worked out in the morning, small break, goes to rehearsal which is several more hours of vigorous exercise and then a few hours later does a performance which is like another vigorous workout. That’s the equivalent to working out three or four times a day, she had to have burned off almost twice what she ate being so active all day.

Dunjii eating light foods so as not to feel heavy or bloated is not the same as not eating, and you didn’t debunk the stigma simply attempted to justify it. I wasn’t implying it’s done for vanity reasons but that doesn’t change the fact that you need food and finding ways to justify why you shouldn’t eat enough isn’t healthy. I’m not saying she had to eat bowls of pasta or anything but there was no mention of light snacking throughout the day or anything . She had a piece of toast for breakfast and admitted that she ONE lunch that doubled as her dinner and as you’ve said it probably wasn’t a heavy lunch because she had to dance later. So she had a piece of toast and two snacks...you can find whatever justification you want for why you’d do that but we can’t pretend that’s healthy. Obviously this was ONE day in her life and we don’t know the others but if that’s a normal eating routine for her or anyone it’s worrisome.

Leah Jackson I would beg to differ though. Who says that’s not healthy. Humans are more durable than you think. Our bodies are made to withstand long periods without food. It’s why fasting is a common ritual and religious practice all over the world. We’ve been taught to believe that you absolutely need three square meals a day and even snacks in between. This has only been common eating practice in western society mainly for the last 100-150 years. Before that people would eat a maximum twice a day, men and woman would eat different amounts and different foods, and different foods were eaten according to the seasons. Eating enough is subjective anyways. Everyone’s body, lifestyle and genes are different and we should strive to tailor our diet and exercise routines to ourselves, not try to fit some set standard that only became standard not too long ago.
