I grew up here born in Lincoln Nebraska in 1960. Folks moved to B’ville in 63’. Best place to grow up. Thanks to that I’m glad to be alive!❤

My family of delaware Indians settled in Bartlesville Washington County in 1860s. The area is rich in Indian culture and welcoming to those wanting to learn... I was born and raised there.

My grandparents, Otto I. Green and his wife Ellen D. Green, moved to Bartlesville in 1916 where my grandfather was the first eye doctor in the region. In 1918 when the Spanish Flu epidemic struck, Bartlesville did not have a hospital. The town used the two story Elks Club as their temporary hospital. The second floor was for the women patients and the ground floor was for the men patients. My grandfather was asked to run the hospital for the town throughout the pandemic. After the pandemic was over, he continued his medical practice in Bartlesville and worked until December of 1957. Both of my grandparents are buried in Bartlesville.

Go to Weeze's next door to Outpost Coffee for a good, home-style breakfast or lunch. Dink's BBQ and the Painted Horse are good places to eat, too

I wish they would put mountain bike trails similar to Bentonville Arkansas all along the pathfinder. It’d be amazing!

That would be a fun idea!

If you run out of things to do in Bartlesville you can drive to Tulsa, Los Angeles, or New York City.

Whats it like to live there i was wondering and trying to relocate i like the smaller town from what i see and looks like it has stores and not a lot of traffic like here in Vegas just so crazy out here ~

That's a tough question to answer. I personally live in Norman, so I can't say what life is like in Bartlesville. Tulsa may be more your speed if you're used to Vegas.

@@joedevitto6113 Definitely small world... I came here to check out Bartlesville also for the same reason as you... 40 year resident of Vegas. I'm also checking out the smaller towns that are close to, but not in OKC , Yukon, Edmond, El Reno...

@@myraoverly9623 Good to know Myra .. have you been all around the town to see it , i saw a lot of shopping all in one area . Walmart and Hobby Lobby and more thats all i need and looks like a nice little town from what i saw on video and photos.. I was looking at El Reno first but not much was there then i saw Tulsa and found this Bartlesville and just something about it was nice.. i keep checking for sale on Redfin site . did you sell here in Vegas or still searching everything i moved to Vegas 30 years ago . i just want to sell my house and pay cash for another , cant do that in Vegas way to pricy now. i dont want to have a mortgage at 61 and retirement age coming need to make life a little easier i hope that is my plan on this . I live up on the west side Rainbow and the 215 area love it up here but time for a new challenge

@@myraoverly9623 Sounds like what im looking for . i want to get out of the Vegas craziness .... saw a few nice homes just under 150k. some are all redone .. just found a few shopping centers and a Bank of America . JC Penny and DIllards and tons of stores. in those areas.. Bartlesville is 21 miles long so its not big and confusing like out here too. i saw your message but its not showing up on here for some odd reason ...

Will you be doing anymore videos on Bartlesville ?

Thank you for inquiring! For the foreseeable future, I don't see myself doing another Bartlesville episode. There are other places I haven't featured at all, like Hochatown and McAlester, that I want to do next. If you are interested, I did a ghost stories podcast about the town back in 2020. www.talesunveiled.com/2020/09/3x02-welcome-to-bartlesville/
