English people definitely have a culture and long history but because it’s so popularised and globalised and has been since the colonial era it doesn’t seem like a culture but it is. When we wear the clothes we have I.e, suits, satchel bags, loafers etc etc etc. we are representing a culture just as a Hanbok represents a Korean culture or a Saree does for an Indian culture. The view that “white people don’t have culture” is an entirely American concept that is based upon the fact that American history (post Columbus and British invasion) is so young and simply seen as modern style (I.e., denim jeans) but in the same way, Black Americans who were stolen and brought over by the slave trade who integrated and created a new culture, don’t have a culture and then what about those who where brought to countries without people (like Mauritians), do they not have a culture? It’s definitely worth noting imo because the people who state that tend to be more or less radicalised in a way.
