Human tends to desire things that they doesn't have and life tend to cause trouble for you no matter where you are and what you are, once you live in human society you will face difficulties no matter what once you live in forest or in between wildlife you would crave for social media modern stylish food etc once human let go of their desire and can adapt to any form of life then they achive spiritualism

idk where you live or what moneys like....but have you considered growing produce? perhaps fruit trees,might surprise you how many fruit in under 5 years and how many you can grow in buckets and grow in a small area...just saying,selling food both at markets and actual stores and online can turn a profit... obviously depends on land,money,zone aka your growing season ergo time,temp etc...in California and Florida you can grow tropical and subtropical fruits like mango,starfruit, lychee, soursop, rollinia, jackfruit,pineapple etc. some of those sell for 10-20 dollars a fruit like last few. there's even nurserys and orchards mainly selling online to spread produce throughout USA from the two aforementioned states.

@Dogpool I take care of my Mom, who has dementia. My life is TOO not boring, in the erratic ways of life. I'd take what you consider boring, for now!! Surrounded by nature like that, you can be on the go a lot. Of course, it's not for everyone. For me, it would be a welcome change. My Mom is my world, and she'd love it there from what I've seen, too. I live in the country, and I get bored with my town, often. It has its merits, but it's not my favorite place to live. I do love the city, too. But, to sleep in that lookout with those scenic views right outside the window, to look at the stars with almost no light pollution, enjoying clear sunsets, sunrises, etc. would be SO peaceful!! I need peace at the moment. Take Care.

That's when you get out the "lightning stool", which is a round stool with old glass insulators for legs. Not joking, this is what some fire lookouts actually do.
@jadedixon3641
@jadedixon3641 5 месяцев назад
It's a great view and they are up all night looking for fires caused by lightning strikes. Years ago while we were on a camping trip, my dad and I drove up to the fire lookout and we got to chat with the person at the lookout. She was up there with her young daughter and we talked about the lightning storm that had come through a couple days ago and she said that her daughter slept through it, but she was up the whole night looking for signs of a fire.

I was thinking the same thing what if a fire breaks out during his lunch break lmao
@RealShipmate
@RealShipmate 8 месяцев назад
@@helloyello182 There are these things called “paid” lunch breaks and paid rest periods. Usually these are supposed to be duty free and uninterrupted but an employer can require you to essentially remain “on call” through your lunch break if they pay you. What happens is if you get called back into work or have to preform a work task you will “clock” back in and handle that task. When you are finished, you will resume however many minutes are left in your lunch except if you had to clock in before the fifteen minute mark (usually) which in case the clock will restart to the 1st minute of your thirty, forty-five, or one hour lunch. While you are clocked in on your lunch break you will receive overtime pay which is either time and a half or sometimes double time. If you are unable to take a lunch or rest period then usually an hour of overtime time is just added on to your pay check. Labor laws and wage laws is vary from state to state but this is how it works in my state and is similar to most other states. But the general consensus is that meal break/lunch are considered wages and if you are unable to take one then your employer, by law, owes you compensation.

@RealShipmate
@RealShipmate 8 месяцев назад
@@haileestuart14 I know what he meant. And it’s a dumb joke. It doesn’t matter if a fire breaks out on his lunch or when he “gets off at 5” or whatever. For jobs like these, you are on duty for a set amount of hours and are on call for the rest of the day. You’re sometimes paid for the entire 24 hour period or just receive on-call pay. But, If something happens during your “off” time then you would go back on duty (and start receiving overtime). I’m in the navy and whenever I’m underway (on a ship out to sea) or even on shore duty, we would have 8 hour work days followed by four hour watches. During those other twelve off hours if there’s a DC drill or, I hope to god not, the vampires start rolling over the horizon, then we can’t just tell chief or the enemy that we’re off duty. Kill or drill us later.

Actually had to learn how to spot smoke on fire finder device (a large round map) - I forgot what it was called. If there was a lightning strike, we had to note it because of possible fire. This was about 15 years ago. Other current volunteer work options too like Green Thumbs in Big Bear and surrounding forest area.
