Maybe it's just me but these kids seem spoiled. For one, they are old enough to clean their own rooms. Secondly, if that boy would've thrown his backpack and jacket at me like he did when getting off the bus, it would've stayed there on the ground until he picked it up himself. Maaaybe just maybe if there was something wrong with them (she put some sort of medication by their cereal bowls) I could let that behaviour slide but it'd have to be a pretty good reason.
@vivianinamerica956

They got vitamins in the morning tho :D no medicine. but he had some ADHD symptoms. the situation with the backpack was kind of a excited/funny one because I had the camera on. Normally he didn't do that :)

When rich parents don’t wanna take care of the kids
@kasualbeauty309
@kasualbeauty309 4 года назад
or cant cause they have good jobs that have helped them be rich. but let me clarify you dont have to be rich to afford an au pair. they only cost $1500 usd a month. which is only $375 a week. im not rich at all and i can afford that. the avergae household not on asssistance pays 800+ a month for full time childcare per child. do the math
@kasualbeauty309
@kasualbeauty309 4 года назад
and that average cost doesnt include any kind of housework. an au pair is also about the experience of getting to live in another country they have 2 days off a week like most jobs she is working a job. having an au pair has nothing to do with being rich. i could afford one if i wanted and we only make about 75 grand a year which after paying the au pair would leave us with $4,750 a month to cover all our bills and expenses and considering where i live that housing is significantly more affordable than other places that amount is more than sufficient. the problem is that you HAVE to provide an au pair with their own room. i have 2 kids and a 3 bedroom home and i dont think making my 12 year old and 8 year old share a room is fair.

I am considering hiring an Au Pair. I’m a single mom who works from home with an 10 year old who I also homeschool. I was an Au Pair for a year in Europe and I don’t know if the US has different standards, but you were getting underpaid big time. Especially for the hours you were doing, and what you had to do for the kids. Absolutely spoilt they were, and the fact that he just threw his stuff at your feet. Doesn’t look like you are very appreciated for the work you do.

Wahnsinn, du warst irgendwie Mutter, Putzfrau, Bespaßerin gleichzeitig.

The nannies do not stay because they are not respected (!!!!) badly or not paid. They do not dare to file a complaint for fear of reprisals, lack of money and defense. Their testimony will help protect children as well as girls who are only slaves. It must stop! Thank you

Honestly can I ask would you recommend this experience? I want to do this, but I'm afraid I won't see much of the country this way.

hi :) cool video, but you don't think that it's too much of work? Because i see in your day there's a lot of work in house but not a lot of work with children and it's sad. well maybe with older children is like that, but when i was an au pair i didn't have to do in house
@vivianinamerica956
@vivianinamerica956 8 лет назад
I'm doing just all the household duties which are related to the kids (organize rooms, cleaning up after them, laundry). they are in school until 3.40pm and at this time I'm free. helping with homework, bring them to their activities, eat together is the time I spend with them. sometimes there is time for playing together. but because they are so busy there is not so much time for that :) obviously when you have younger kids which are not in school you spend all the time with them

A saw you washed the kids clothes but what about their parents, do you have to wash their clothes too? To iron, i know cleaning the house is obvious but it takes me like minimum 4 hours to clean 1 floor of my house, how... How do you manage with the time! I ve been watching other Videos and they talked about taxes, do you have to pay it?

This may sound stupid. But why would your do this? Seems to me you just have to do a looot of things in someone else's house. What's the point?
@vivianinamerica956
@vivianinamerica956 8 лет назад
+BuzziMuzzi this is a very popular thing you can do after graduating high school in Germany. many people don't want to continue straight with college and want to take a break from Germany and their everyday life. we are not coming for the money here. first it's to improve your English, collect more experiences with children (maybe for your future job) and just have the opportunity to get to know the American life and live in a family. it's pretty good because they pay you for food, you don't need to pay for an apartment and you can drive their car! all in all its a wonderful experience you can count to your life. most of the time it is a big bonus for every job/college when you can show your certificate that you loved one year in America and have the experience with children, the language and the culture :)
