My son has accepted by UCR for freshman 2020, your video is such inspiring and encouraging for us to support our son to UCR, thank you so much, really appreciated👍
Julie Chen, my son, too is accepted to UCR for freshman 2020. I was a little bummed because we were all hoping that he would be accepted to UCSD, closer to home. after watching this video, it makes feeling a little better.
I remember watching you before coming to UCR and now I’m in the third quarter so I’ve came long way. UCR is amazing and I’m glad you show that side of it. Take care man!
Hey Harry, it’s ur bud Zach I’m glad to see that ur utilizing ur campus resources to its fullest! Seems like you’ve grown a lot, in both the physical and maturity aspects. Keep up with the vlogs! You got a really good camera presence, and it doesn’t seem fake or anything. Same ol Harry Wang Im glad to see that you got into the frat you wanted to! Keep it up brother
The production of this video is A1 bro, I would’ve thought you had 50k+ subs with this quality keep it up! I’m a first year previsiones student and I resell sneakers too aha but like the vid bro keep it up and you’ll get places!
Aw nice video! I like the little motion details you added on haha. I live 15 mins from UCR and even got accepted there as a transfer, but passed it up for UCI (I wanted the experience of living outside the Inland Empire lol). You showed a different perspective of UCR though and I think that's cool that you're doing this especially to those who are deciding to apply there. Maybe in one of your videos you can talk about why you chose UCR. Keep it up with these videos! :)
This popped up in the recommended and watching it has made me miss walking around the UCR campus DX I'm sad this is literally how I had to spend my last quarter as a 4th year and won't be able to spend it at school, even tho I complain about the drive sometimes
I am sorry to hear about that :(, I know many seniors are going through the same thing. Tough to leave without closure. I hope my video was able to help you cheer up a little bit!
Hello everyone, I have been getting a lot of questions in the DMs. If you are new and have a question simply just leave a comment and I will get to all of them, also will be potentially combining all the questions for a simple Q&A Video!
As a fellow UCR alum who graduated with a degree in Economics with a concentration in Mathematics in 2015, I concur. UCR was still a decent school to attend even though it is ranked lower than most of the UC's like UCLA, UCB, UCSB, UCSD, UCI, UCD and even UCSC. Note to self, UCR was not my top choice UC; it was somewhere between UCSB and UCSC (I was actually leaning toward UCSC because the campus is smaller and less of a party school than UCSB). I love to be near the beach but I also like the outdoors as well.
UC Riverside alumnus from way back in the day when they only had five thousand students (West Lo represent). Crazy that it has grown five fold since I've been there...we used to work out hard in the "old school" gym before the student recreation center (and study hard)...as well as those movie theatres and so many other things...great people and US News Top 100 ranked programs at one of the fastest growing UC's still having that personal touch. Received a great education/college experience at UCR....Go Highlanders!!
You are probably a senior now or have already graduated. The campus looks very different. Will be back in the area in 2 days to check up on a house that we own.
I really like your very informative video. I do have a question regarding the weather there. As we are almost native San Diegans, I know that Riverside is very hot. But, do you find walking from class to class difficult in hot weather?
Personally, the weather is not too bad for me; however, I do know San Deigo has amazing weather as well. The campus is not too big so I would say that wouldn't be a big issue for you! Also if you have more questions feel free to let me know or check out my new UCR Q&A Video :).ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i-gL8K082UI.html
You could definitely still go to UCR after CC! I got my AS/AA from my local CC while in high school and I think CC classes will really help you get adjusted to what college is like :)
Hello! I answered the questions about the lectures in my new UCR Q&A Video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i-gL8K082UI.html Feel free to shoot me any other questions :)
Hey, was wondering which dorms you think would be the best pick. All the videos available right now are a bit out dated and I want a more current opinion.
Stephanie Garcia All the dorms are great; however from my experience I would go with Lothian. Let me know if you have other questions, I can go more I depth about the dorms
@@lorenacota5392 I'm not Will but I could answer that. I'm currently a first year at UCR. Yes you can apply as a first year. Applications usually open up January of your first year, so that's like beginning of Winter quarter. The first benefit that gets most people attention is that if you get the position you get free housing (your own dorm room for free), a meal plan and bi-weekly stipend. That's like $17,000 you won't have to worry about if you decide to dorm your next year, also you won't have to worry about where you will live the next academic year. However, you do need to maintain a 2.5 GPA or above to maintain your position. The benefits include: developing your professional skills, public speaking development, time management, the list goes on. As I got to know my RA better I noticed that it's the experience that you get that makes it all worth while. The student staff becomes a like family and you get to know more people. There's a lot of responsibilities though, but don't let that shy you away from the position. In the end you become a role model to about 50 people so the overarching benefit is growing more into the better version of yourself, and providing the core values that makes UCR res life so great. Check out their website here: ucrreslife.wordpress.com/new-student-staffs-apply-here/ You could also be a PA (Program advisor).
Hi, great video! So, I just got accepted to UCR as a transfer student from community college. Can you explain the dining plans at UCR. I’m confused as to what is the best option and what are dining dollars? Thank you!
For the dining plan, I would definitely suggest going with the lowest one as personally, I have never heard of anyone running out of dining swipes. Dining Dollars are basically a currency you can use for on-campus food places/grocery stores. Feel free to ask me more questions! I also recently uploaded a UCR Q&A Video in that video I answered many questions including dining hall. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i-gL8K082UI.html
So my son has decided to attend UCR this fall. I haven't been able to successfully teaching him how to use a planner. He's really bad at time management. Do you think you can make a video on how to use a planner and execute it from a college student perspective?
Hey All! Recently just uploaded a Q&A Video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i-gL8K082UI.html. I answered the majority of the common questions and should be beneficial to you all! Let me know if you all got any other questions or need help with anything. :)
