I think whether I pronounce it as Navratra or Navratri does not make any difference in my aastha in Durgaji . And you said " of our Indians"".... what do you mean by that....even I am an Indian and a very proud one who does not ask someone to shut their mouth and not speak... i guess thats the India I know and belong to where people express their opinion politely...

How much it takes out of you emotionally and physically to live on a foreign land without the support of your loved ones..only the person who is under the same situation can understand. And It's so inspiring to see that what we as woman do for our families takes so much effort and love..we give up years of education, career, friends to nurture our families. You're doing great girl. Keep it up. And do not even bother to answer the people who are trying to correct your grammar or who are just sitting behind a computer and teaching you about how to and how not to pronounce anything. These are the frustrated lots who probably must not be taking a shower in the morning and offering their prayers to the almighty and just lazing around in their PJ's and sleeping while their husbands go to work ;-))lol!!!

School starts at 7.15 . Bus picks at 6.30. Yes its very early. I used to live in Toronto where it starts at 9 so it was a big change for me as well as for my son.

Please let me know how do you plan your weekend breakfast. I just sit with everybody and then when everyone is hungry i do not know what to make. My family does not want any breakfast which is loaded with carbs like poha or upma. Please suggest something
