Oh it is busy but we were very busy too and didn’t get much time away from the crowds I think you could have a lovely time there but we just tried to fit too much in and was therefor predominantly in the busy areas , the square we had a drink was lovely and chilled and the streets away from the main attractions were quieter too i would love to go back and just not do what we done which was too much and enjoy the rest of Rome x

Not gonna lie I had aches 😂 which is why a four hour train ride the next morning was lush 👌🏼

Have the best time I was speaking to someone who’s just back from there last week it’s lovely and hot ☀️ Enjoy 👌🏼

Sounds amazing 🤩 we got the train to Venice and it was great it also goes through Florence so would make a great little route to travel and stop off x Love to see some of Tuscany 🙌🏼

Oh no moany me 🤦🏻‍♀️ I didn’t love it but I know that was because we just tried nope not tried did do too much , the busyness stressed me out but I know if we only done one main attraction then focused on the quieter streets and scenery I could have enjoyed it much more , the place was beautiful and so much more to see I would love to go back even if it didn’t sound that way 😂 I did enjoy it I’m glad we saw the things we did but I would do it differently if I done it again 🙌🏼

Hi so couple of things yep booking is dead simple you literally click book and pay and that’s it 😂 however you don’t get flight times airports ,hotels etc at that time I think you select your preference and somebody then calls you a few days later! We booked our Rome /venice on a bit of a whim to be honest and didn’t even think about flight times (I know🤦🏻‍♀️) so when the guy called our flights were horrendous is was late flight on the Thursday (getting in at like midnight) into Rome meaning we would only have Friday as a full day then the train to Venice on the Saturday was not direct and was gonna take upto 10 hours losing all of Saturday we would then have Sunday in Venice and fly home at 5am Monday 😂 which is when the upgrades come in !!! So I think we paid around £140 each extra in the end which upgraded our hotels from 3 to 4 star and included breakfast. The flights to an early on Thursday morning and a late one Monday night and a direct train only taking 4 hours !!! So we did end up paying more than we planned as it just wouldn’t have been worth doing other wise. We have done 3 Wowcher holidays two mystery destination and this one ☝🏼 I do also find the hotels can sometimes be a little less central then you might like and you generally don’t find these out until you get in the phone so have a laptop ready to Google and check you are happy! My Lisbon vlog was one of the mystery Wowcher holidays we done however we paid extra because we got Poland and my husband wanted winter sun ☀️ all in all we have had good experiences but you usually end up paying more. Yes I’d love to go again and do less we had way too much on and to be honest we’re just exhausted I can see the beauty of it hence why I’d love to go again but would certainly do things differently x

So I have a Barclays account and they offer a travel pack you can pay monthly for we have the travel pack plus which give discount on airport parking , 6 free lounge passes a year then half price after that, holiday insurance and a few other bits that I’m not sure of what they are right now , oh yes RAC cover 🙌🏼 we used it a lot so certainly found it worth having

You are right it was naive or whatever other word you wanted to use! Hence why I said if we were to return I would stay in a central hotel and take time to enjoy the city !!! It was a mistake on our part to think as we only had a day we should get as much in as possible in hindsight , having only a day we should have just wandered the streets and enjoyed however we just didn’t hadn’t realised how big and busy Rome was however you live and learn , enjoy your trip.

@@clairemariehoward what day did you visit? Was that on a week end? During the week days it should be more quiet
