Why? I'm planning on signing a contract with them next month. Should I look somewhere else? Maybe I can just stay there one semester to see how things are
Linda Landaverde All of your freshmen friends are going to live in the Residence Hall dorms. It will be a lot easier to make friends in the UCSB Residence Halls over Tropicana. Only International students and Athletes live in Trop, so it is difficult to make friends who are like you. Even if Trop allows you to sign for one quarter, there's no such contract for you to sign to get into the Residence Halls. Even if you're a 3rd year transfer, I would still recommend living in San Raf where you are more likely to make friends.
