I recently had an interaction with a SJW page that can be summarized as: SJW: "You better not buy something cultural from someone not in that culture". Me: "I consider myself to be a member of humanity before everything else. Can you please give an example of what you're talking about?" Them: *example* Me: "The more I think about it, the more I think you're right. The alternative is often purchasing from a large capitalist corporation which is profiting off of pieces of culture they are otherwise unrelated to." Them: "Did you learn your lesson?" Me: "Sure, but it's also important to recognize that the lines we draw between ourselves have a significant chance of being the reason we go extinct." I proceeded to get verbally attacked and called a bunch of names by multiple people on the page. To attempt to engage in a discussion with a SJW to better understand what they are proposing about a particular issue, in any manner that is short of immediately and fully agreeing with them, is to condemn yourself into the most vile mental category in their mind. Your words which may be intended to bridge any gaps in understanding are violence to them. These people are often not a part of the groups they are attempting to defend and probably discredit them as well to some people, which is actually really sad and damaging.

jedwards1211 it was a metaphor for showing that students are rewarded and encouraged for social justice and that it's taught in colleges. Also that people who dare to disagree or point out the madness are persecuted and bullied into the status quo. When college is supposed to be a place of learning and discussion.
