the 4 years is post graduate degree (MD degree) with at least 3 year undergraduate course but if your a school leaver (just finished VCE) you can apply for the 5 year direct entry into medical school where it’s not required for you to do an undergraduate degree but rather you spend 5 years studying medicine (i am particularly thinking about doing the 5 yr direct entry) :)
