whoever made this want to highlight the place in a positive image. this guy is not at all a labourer of Dubai standards. you want a labourer? go to a construction site and pick one of em randomly. or catch a bus to Sonapur. you'll find labourers there !! this guy is like a Warren buffet compared to those actual labourers !!

He is not a labour in any sense here in Dubai. He is having a good job but probably less paid job. If u want to see real labours go to construction scene.. Visit at least once to a construction workers labour camp (I recommend Sajaa) and spend a day with them, I recommend Friday to Saturday. You will soon come to realise what a real life of labour in UAE means. This video shows nothing close to that life rather a good ideal life of a supervisor. The title should have been "A day in the Life of a supervisor in Dubai"

I have worked in Dubai for a UK based electro / contracting company and i am a qualified electrician and so earn a good living and have good accommodation provided for me , all of the Asian labourers that i see get treated like shit by their Arab employers and are expected to work 12 hr shifts for 6 days a week for very little money and the accommodation provided for them by their employers is very basic and unhygienic by western standards , i really feel sorry for these guys because they are doing the best they can to provide for their family's and some of them only get to go home once a year for a week if they are lucky , so when i see these staged propaganda videos it really makes my blood boil because i know what the true way of life is like in Dubai for these immigrant workers and it is not as nice and Rosie like you see in this and other films like it.....!

immigrants badly is not okay but every country in the Middle East is different and why is the west’s treatment of immigrants ignored. Many immigrants in the west are bullied or treated badly, and I knew this girl from the Netherlands for example and her boss paid this immigrant worker almost nothing compared to other workers and was so rude and patronising to him and that boss said that it was okay to do that since he doesn’t understand anyway (he was Polish). I am not saying that Arabs who treat immigrants badly is okay but I do think that people cherrypick. When there was a terrorist attack in Paris, everyone was like #PrayforParis but nobody bat an eye when there was a terrorist attack in Iran (a country who did a lot to actually stop IS with their military) and the terrorist attack in Iran was shortly before everything in Paris happened. I am not saying that those things are okay but the media shouldn’t cherrypick.

Dubai or UAE is really good place to work, and they treat the local are nice to the workers. When i went to ministry of labor to complain about my employer i saw many workers there complaining and the government took what is right for them. Not to mention, they are trying to educate the labor about there right so that they have the knowledge. My friend from Philippine who used to work in Dubai, also complained to the government and they stood on his side.

It seems Syed is an Arab, and Arab do hate each other, especially the Arabs from poor countries, they hate the Arabs from rich and developed country. Syed... I don't know how old you are but if I remember the economic conditions in India in 1978 and the sufferage any place other than this would be paradise. In Mumbai City we had to queue up at public toilet. Across India many went to bed hungry. My traditional house was a small hut in Kerala. By 1984 we built a sprawling bungalow. Across Kerala you will find the impact of Gulf labour. Today's situation and suffering in Gulf is nothing compared to the hardships back home. I'm aware of all the difficulties of our people in gulf since my family is there and about 21 people who include my father, mamajis, uncles, first cousins who are based in UAE, Doha, Manama, Jeddah, Salalah and Kuwait City. Inspite of all the issues I still thank the Arabs. I have seen a different world here 40 years ago.

As I was watching this video, I have to say that I have been touched emotionally. There are several reasons for that. Well, the predominant factor is that I highly doubt that these hardworking men such Binu from the video gets paid well. These men leave their homes to Dubai with only one hope, and that is to support and provide for their families. They sacrifice a lot to push through each day. I am referring to all people who are in similar situations. My father, who has worked in Dubai for over a decade would tell me the realities of some of the people that he knew who came to Dubai and work as laborers to earn a living. I hope Binu is able to save up enough and go back to Kerala to start his furniture shop and stay with his family. God bless

I recently watched a video about the rough conditions of laborers from the Indian subcontinent living in Dubai. Many of them took loans to get there just to be told by the company that there was no more work available. They talked about killing themselves because they could not go back and face their family and loan sharks back home. They said if they returned they would be killed. In the comment section people from Dubai would say that they should never have came and that Dubai doesn't want foreigners etc etc. I wish those people could see this video here which just showed up in my recommendations. This is propoganda from Dubai actively encouraging migrant workers from the Indian subcontinent to come to Dubai, making it look like a good investment opportunity if one just works hard and wakes up early. Really sad how misleading this is, but even sadder that Dubai's own citizens look down on these people who come for a bettet life, cynically saying they shouldn't have come when they get screwed over, but overlooking the fact that videos like this exist trying to bring those laborers in...

Dubai has been built from sand up depending on the hard work and dedication offered by all these workers coming from India/ Pakistan/Bangladesh etc despite they are the most low paid and most disgracefully treated in the land of Gold and opportunities. It still proves that civilisation is based on unfortunates and its the elite who are enjoying the fruits of the hard work and blood of innocent workers. The living conditions for all these labourers are extremely poor and wages are no longer compatible with today’s society. I also blame the diplomatic policies of those nations who supplies labourers to Dubai as they have failed to secure a safe and dignified platform for their nationals who are also likely to be the most foreign reserve earners for their nations. All in all Dubai is winning and also the nations who are supplying the workers and only losers are the workers themselves.

I can say just one thing. The company you get recruited decides your fate. Govt companies or International companies are good. Private companies may exploit you.

Why is he speaking in Hindi instead of Malayalam most of the time?
@ethansequeira2431
@ethansequeira2431 8 лет назад
most Indians in Dubai speak Hindi. you have to get used to that rather than your mother tongue. I don't know Hindi or any other Indian language though and I'm Indian so I hope I work in the West or in screwed xD
@RMatt2016
@RMatt2016 8 лет назад
+Ethan The Dragon Master you can survive in UAE among Indians without Hindi as long as you know English. Unless you live among unskilled workers. It's just that most Malayalee are weak in Hindi and more fluent in Malayalam.

This is one of the rare cases where they are actually treated well-ish. In most cases the conditions are worse than the migrants home country and they are paid less then their home country as well.

I'm in one of the luxurious city the world yet most of the salary offer is very less like 50% of your salary will go to your house rent. Most of Africans and Asian pay less than Europian and western people.

@fahadkhan407
@fahadkhan407 5 лет назад
These labourers usually come from pakistan, india,nepal and bangladesh. And they have earn more in dubai than their respective countries. They themselves say that dubai has given them so much that their countries havent. Even tgh i dknt agree with certain policies in dubai, the labourers are still happy because dubai is giving them the oppurtunities that their countries arent. Blame those countries
