I too use chest harnesses to avoid leash injuries..so important..they so love there walks..and as you know born to run))

Dachshunds are great. We have two (Megan (Black & Tan)-8 years old. & Kellee (Shihtzu/Dachshund (red & tan)-9 years old. Train them well, and they will be great doxies.

@@OIiviaLeigh I just didn't want anybody else to see that except for you because, I didn't want to deter people from getting a dachshund. Dachshunds are great and training is easy. But, yes Kellee will be crossing the Rainbow Bridge tomorrow at 3:00pm here in Texas. She will be defending all of the other animals in the pearly gates which is "HEAVEN". She is a great protector, very loving, loves belly rubs, which my husband and I are going to miss and also belly kisses. We had her for 9 years and since she was 8 weeks old, she was the cutest puppy ever, I think. It's the mix breed that made us adopt her (Shih-Tzu/Dachshund mix). Sorry, I"m starting to cry and I don't want to cry in this comment.

Your dogs seem very thirst and constantly lick the empty water bowl for more water. Is there a specific reason you limit their water intake? 😊

I’m getting a miniature dachshund in a few weeks and was wondering if there is anything that is crucial to be taught at a young age. (Ps your pups are so adorable)

thanks for the support! so excited for you and your new weenie!❤️ i would say the 3 crucial things are potty training, kennel training (so they don’t have separation anxiety or cry the whole time) and discouraging barking!
