Hi GEL! You're getting really close to 1,000 subs very quickly! Please don't change once you become a big RU-vid star, keep on being the sweetheart that you are now.
We All feel so privileged to ride along with Industrious Anthony who obviously has allot of families who depend on his business as we see how hard each of these people work. A new appreciation for Bananas
What a cool look into her fathers life. I think some people might assume that if people don't have a formal education they may not be as smart as those who do. Anthony definitely proves this theory wrong with knowing every aspect of his business including the weight difference between wet and dry bananas. That's a calculation that I'm sure many would overlook easily. Both Anthony and Jesus are looking more and more comfortable on the camera as time passes which is good. Excellent video cant wait for the next one and all the big things happening behind the scenes.
Gel has so Many wonderful people around her and with her charm and sweetness she could interview any of the people around her as All of them have a story and she could be the storyteller of their lives.
Hi Gel. If you don't have time to make videos, we understand. But if you are looking for ideas, then start interviewing your family. But get your questions ready ahead of time until you are more comfortable. Then after that, interview other people you know like your teacher or friends.
Hello gel , can't wait to see what you put out for videos. I'm from the USA and would love to see what your daily life is like, even a simple video showing the area around your parents house.
In Europe most people also prefer manual transmission, especially here in Denmark. They are somewhat cheaper and with the high car tax here on something like 180% it makes a difference. Also, if you are good at driving it will go further on the fuel. Of course, most of the new high-end cars the last 5 years have been electric and or hybrid, and they by default are "automatic".
Anthony is what we call here in Manila a " biyahero" (traveller) someone who goes to remote areas buys produce and brings them to the market, supplier, dealer or industrial user but Anthony is smart he produces his own banana chips and also supplies to other users.
Just by observation, could he have started at the furthest location, since they had multiple suppliers there, and then loaded up, cause if on the way back if the truck is filled, a return trip the next day would be closer? Plus, why load up close then take the first bananas all the way on the trip to the furthest location, weighing the truck down, consuming more fuel and wear on the truck, just to bring it back again.
@@gelspapa yes, drive to the last supplier with your truck empty, you can see how much on the way and talk to the supplier but not load up yet till the last one and start there at the last one so you can load the truck with the most bananas far. Then the truck gets full as you come back home. If you are full half way back, it's not too far to return to get the remainder. Maybe you can still go back to get them the same day. Also, you can drive to the far supplier faster and safer with the truck empty. Just my opinion pare, you know what is best.👌
Once a banana tree bears fruit you have to cut it down, it only does so once, but it grows multiple saplings while maturing so a single tree could become several and so on, glad you mentioned the homemade gun making culture in that place, as a young boy in the 70's i have heared of their reputation here in Manila, in fact an uncle owned a copy of a S&W 5 shooter snub nose .38 cal, i used to take it out of his hiding place☺
I wouldn't think it is a whole lot but I'm to tired to do the math right now but he said he pays 15 pesos per kilo and sells them for 25 pesos per kilo. But the weight changes after he gets the bananas because the lose water when they ripen. Now the chips he wholesales for 4 pesos and retail is 5 pesos according to Gel in the other video. In one of Derek's first videos with him he told Derek that he sells almost a ton a week but I think his trees do 500 kilos every 2 weeks that's why he needs to buy them. Now out of the 10 peso per kilo which is less really because the lose weight he has all the gas for the 4 hour mountain trip, he pays Jesus and of course his time and labor. Meanwhile at home everyone is slicing bananas while he fries them. It's really a whole family affair for probably much less a week than your average USA person makes in a day. I bet the number would make our heads spin. He must be very good with money though because the family is always dressed well and the house is much nicer than alot of others ive seen in videos and he even got a big tv on credit for the family so he is a smart guy.
Mr. Derek sir may i respectfully request that you help Jesus with his cleft palate and lip, maybe something could be done about it, he seem to be a nice hard working young man, also yes we pronouce it as "Hesus"like they do in south america but times have changed but still us old people do.
