fallow me along in my first video iam a little shaky and nervous but bare with me I will get better. in this video I will show how I prepare my load and unload in a boom pump thank you for watching please like and subscribe thank you.
Who knew delivering concrete was just a side hustle, the real job is keeping the truck clean. Can appreciate a man that takes pride in his equipment. Love the video, cant wait to see what else is to come.
This guy knows what he's doing and talking about. Clean truck says it all. I clean on my truck everyday. I have the cleanest truck and haul the most yardage. And that gets noticed not only by our management but our customers. Nice work man.
I just came across this channel because I want to learn a little bit before I start my new job as a ready mix truck driver. I’m impressed with the job on how easy it is. The best part is that I get to go home every day to my family. 👍💯
I'm going through a career change and starting my new job as a ready mix driver in a few days. Did you start working yet @king69king1? If so, how you liking it so far?
I like how you keep a clean truck. I started driving mixer truck about a year ago and I'm enjoying it. We don't carry the wash out buckets, so that was pretty cool to see.
Nice video my guy.! I’ve been driving for almost 10 years total. Did 6 months mixer driver and I’m looking to go back at the beginning of the year I miss it honestly.!
Cool video man! Same cab as our garbage trucks cool to see different variations made with same cab & chassis.. I see you guys got Lytx DriveCams as well… looking forward to more videos brother! Liked and subscribed
Been doing truck driving here in Hawaii for almost 18 years not a concrete truck driver but a super dump truck driver we haul materials like rocks, sand, different types of gravels. Anyways im planning moving somewhere up in the states and try driving concrete trucks any pointers where is a good start. Btw awesome video bro 🤙🏽
Guys always forget to lock their shoot and not just the button, but the actual lever that goes into the slot and then there’s a lot of guys that won’t use the chain for the flop over and I’ve seen those flip over when they hit a bump hard enough. Also three points of contact when you get out of truck been there done that gotten out of a truck and fallen because I didn’t have much of a grip on anything when you get out of Truck towards you’re likely to do the whole slip, trip and fall. But yeah, that was a good video .
That's a nice new truck. You're up in the LA area I'm guessing? I'm going on 35 years. We do "scrape and go" and charge the customer if no place to clean out.
Nice video, man. Keep it up. Subbed. However, I don't understand how a construction site can NOT have a clean-out area. I pull reefers for a living and if a shipper/receiver doesn't have a receptacle for me to clean out my trailer, that shit goes in the parkinglot.
I started out my trucking career on concrete mixers, I don't miss it, but your video took me back, its funny that you call yourself the Mixer Mafia, because I used to call myself the Minimix Mafia, haha, I deliver the best kind of concrete now, the kind thats already gone off, lol, anyway, good video, keep it up
How did you start out as a ready mix driver? I applied to this one place a week ago and haven't heard anything back yet. I have an unrestricted class a with tanker endorsement. Do I need hazmat as well?
unfortunately I can't help you because I am a UK driver, I don't know about american rules and regs, one thing you could do if you have no experience is offer to do a week without pay and if you can prove yourself as being capable and trustworthy to do the job make an agreement with the operator to take you on at the end of the first week, although, I don't know what operators are like over there and whether or not they would take advantage of you for free labour, approach with caution and good luck!@@user4667
Hello is this wheel base at the end for the weight? We in Germany have 2 main type of Concrete Trucks a 3 axles truck can load 6 Cubic Meter and a 4 axles Truck can load 7.5 Cubic Meter. They also have a big Drum what is able to load up to 8 or 9 Cubic Meter but its not allowed anymore. The washdown system with the buket is awesome, we dont have this. Sry for my bad writing.
Noce si ya vistes mi contenido pero bueno esto es lindo hermano tienes un divino camión transportador de concreto excelente hermano que bueno un video tuyo explicando cuánto gana un operador de mixer en usa que concretos transportan comúnmente
How do you keep your truck so prestine.. i gotta truck its kinda new not too dirty but the stuff that is caked aint easy to get off especially in the tight areas.. i got my some muratic acid but i dont wanna use it near lines.. have you just stayed kept up on it since you got it? Any tips
i dont think my boss would be happy taking all that time to wash down when we where doing maybe 10 or 12 loads to a pour and the plant was waiting for lorries lol
Thanks for the reply over here in uk our concrete trucks come in 3 sizes ,in metric sizes ,4 wheel truck carry 4 cube ,6 wheeler similar to yours 6 cube and 8 wheeler 8 cubes ,I know you guys in us use yards so not sure about your weights
Yea we use yards max we can carry is 4 yards but I just looked some of those up and some other states have trucks similar to that here in California majority of the trucks look like this due to the weight of the truck and the weight the roads can hold over here and it’s California so there more picky 😂
@@Mixermafia23 I do this in Idaho and we carry 10 yards. Trucks are usually at around 70k lbs. we do a bunch of offroad jobs and it's really sketchy. are trucks get stuck a lot and if you know a mixer truck you know it's an entirely different beast. These trucks will flip over just by you looking at it wrong.
Good video, constructive criticism: some things could use explaining as to why you’re doing it. You’re speaking as if we’ve been doing this as long as you and know what everything means, but that’s not true. For example what the “boot” is at the beginning, or what the boost does or boost pressure. Keep up the good work
Hi from the uk your trucks are different from ours ,what are the wheels that fold used for might be a dumb question but we don't have them in uk everything else is simular enjoyed your video
Not a dumb question at all brotha that’s called a booster axle we put those down when we get loaded with 5 or more yards to help the truck with the weight
How many yards does that truck hold? Been doing concrete now for about 5 years at 23 years old and haven’t seen a truck with that much space between your “barrel or drum” and cab ever. Just curious👌 much love and drive safe 🙏
These hold about 10.5 yards but they only load us with 10 but the space your talking about we did notice these trucks are longer than our mcnelius mixers those are a little shorter the one I drive is a contech when I first saw it I was wondering the same thing
Over here if drive on the roads your a target we got speed cameras everywhere and now some of our really nice driving roads have average speed cameras, our national speed limit for a roads is 60mph 70 for our motorways equivalent to your interstates it's a complete joke you get some idiot driving at 40 mph and you darnt overtake ,on our motorways most of em are 3 lanes you get jerks just sit in middle lane at 50mph it's not like us we not allowed to under take I've been to USA 5 times you lads are miles ahead of us in everyway think I might think about moving overthere 😅
Yes it does. My family stays RAIDERS NATION ! Starts with my grandparents to my grandchildren and all in between. It's not just a football team it's a life style. I know you understand. Stay up bro, keep grinding and I wish you and your family all the best. Alrato. @@Mixermafia23
Trust me brotha we have been asking for more water pressure for the longest out other plants have stronger water pressure and wash down is a lot faster
I work out of Sacramento bro here in cali I’ve gone down to LA to pick up some trucks up here we use these reclaimers idk why they don’t use them down there in LA
@@sinfronterasblogs this year we’ve been a lot more busier alot of warehouses going up and alot of houses work has been pretty steady all year how is it down there ?
In the good months that’s march-September around 6k maybe a little more just depends how much overtime and prevailing wage jobs you get but once the winter months come it drops a lot
@@Mixermafia23 You popped the parking brake without switching it to neutral. Normally on a maintained truck you're fine, but sometimes there is a failure in the solenoid that puts it partially in neutral. When you rev the truck up to spin the drum, it is possible for the truck to remain in gear and take off on you.
@@WhyNotChris0 we’ve had that happen slips my mind at times just because it’s never happend to me but I’ll make sure to watch it more often thanks brotha
