Jo is a senior corporate communications professional who has worked domestically and at an international level. She is expert in devising and delivering integrated internal and external strategic communications and public affairs campaigns to support commercial objectives within complex organisations and across geographies. She is equipped with the ability to deploy the most appropriate communications channel according to the stakeholder. She is a strategic thinker with strong business, leadership, inter-personal and team management skills, used to operating at board level and advising CEOs.
Jo currently leads MSD UK’s Human Health integrated communications and policy business unit, setting its policy and internal/external communications strategy and priorities, in line with the UK business strategy. She leads a team of over 20 professionals, working across MSD’s UK footprint, managing internal communications, social and digital media, government relations and stakeholder engagement. In this role she is responsible for ensuring that the political, policy and customer environment is enabling access to MSD’s medicines and vaccines, as well as managing our reputation. In partnership with Leadership Team colleagues, she also focus on the communication of our business transformation and employee engagement.
Her prior experience includes working for Bayer, J&J and public affairs consultancies.
