ABOUT THE RE-POST; The 1st video had a duplicate 5 minute scene in it. When I tried to edit it in YT, I deleted the whole video but the 5 minute scene, so I had to delete it, edit offline and repost. The first video had almost 10k views in the first two hours. If you can stand it, please rewatch it to help it keep growing!! thank you to those who pointed out the mistake. My new editing software is a nightmare and I grew so weary in editing that I missed it.!
Carolyn's RV Life...loved the invite into your home. Thank you for all you do. Yes youtube is a full-time plus job I would not want. So we thank you for doing this. Your skills are creative and fabulous. I will be glad to rewatch this for you and enjoy watching it again. I hope you had a wonderful Easter
You Rock Rita. Thank you so much. Having to delete and uplaod a video when it's doing so well is a death sentence.. You're helping me keep it going. thank you!
Thank you very much Christina for your kind words and for taking the time to watch it again! The good news is, it's 5 minutes shorter now!! hugs, Carolyn
The supreme irony is that the editing error was the part about editing video! You can't make this stuff up! :-D Happy Easter and best wishes to all. :-)
Always have a backup copy! I'm trying to teach myself to not save _everything,_ but to save _enough_ to be able to retrieve the stuff I need to keep. It's all too volatile; the Kindle version of Fahrenheit 451, one of my favorite rueful jokes. Hard copies are good, not a waste, but "cloud" (ugh) copies and portable disk drive copies, and/or SD card copies, and/or thumbnail copies, at least provide that redundancy for things that don't make hard copies, that is not wasteful at all, judging by the amount of failure of these things.
What a blessing that you would be so kind as you let us in. Thank you for being vulnerable and not fake. Enjoyed your day! You would be super fun to hang out with. :)
Hot tip for scrubbing that pan clean whenever you do take a notion to do it. Warm it up in the sun, put a little water in it and a handful of sand and scrub away. This is an old trick I learned years ago when we camped on the river without amenities. We cooked with cast iron and not wanting to use soap to free the pots and pans of the fire-cooked mess, we did this. We also used saved balls of aluminum foil to scrub the really stuck on stuff. You can clean a grill top with a ball of aluminum foil. Old school ideas from an old school rustic camper. Have a blessed and beautiful day...it was nice having coffee with you, Carolyn. Thanks for all your hard work...love your channel! ✌💜
Hi Carolyn, thanks so much for sharing! My partner and I are just beginning our full-time RV life, and we are so excited to get out there an explore all this continent has to offer. Keep posting all the great videos! Happy Travels!
Love your vids! They inspire me to pause and live in the moment, rather than mindlessly rushing through my day. Your hard work, making these, is truly appreciated! Stay safe out there Hun, big squeeze! 🌳🌲🍃
Hi Carolyn! I finally had some time to watch this newest video and I wanted to say thank for sharing a day and bringing us along with you. It is about what I have imagined and I have to say this ranks high on my list of favorite videos from you. Your video on glacier creek in my home state of Washington is by far my favorite!!! You are a warm and friendly person that I admire so much about. You are an inspiration to me and I really wish I knew you as a friend. I really do. I hope one day, someday I can meet you to say hello at the RTR. Be happy, be free, be kind!
This video is one of the most honest and factual! Editing is hard. Needs lots of patience. I watch my husband do it and it is no simple task! I enjoyed watching and keep the vids coming 😎 Love and Peace
Get three spray bottles: one holds soapy water, one holds plain water, one holds white vinegar. Simply spray your dishes/ pans with the soapy water, scrub with cloth, rinse with plain water spray, sanitize if you'd like with the vinegar spray!!!!! Such a neat video! I've always been curious as to how videos are edited! Love ya!
This is an excellent video! Thank you for sharing your life with us all...and for showing us the hard work, time, and effort in putting your videos together. You have real talent putting them together and making them interesting. I totally enjoyed this video very much! Stay safe Carolyn! 👍👍👍👍👍
My son and I live in our own mobile home. I like that it isn't apartment living. We have more privacy in this kind of dwelling. I negotiated with our landlord to keep our space rent low. He agreed. Apartments in many cities are outrageously high. Many people are financially, struggling, mostly because of high cost rents. We feel fortunate.
my favorite video of yours. Since ive been watching rvers all i wanted was someone to simply show an average day on the road/ without the overdone drone shots and 10mins of bare rd.... Thankyou Carolyn
This is my favorite video. I've heard real life, scary stories about people who fall victim to scam criminals who will honk at elderly people, and convince them to "pull-over," and then they get robbed and hurt. Beware of criminals who prey on innocent victims.
If we can stand it? Woman, watching you summons so much inspiration; it isn't a challenge to re-watch you, it is a pleasure. I feel honored to be given the opportunity to gaze life from the window of your reality. I enjoyed the duplicate scene though It made me smile.
Hello Carolyn. I am a fellow full time traveler living full time in an RV. We have a 5th wheel. A little big for me. I would love to go smaller but hubby wouldn't be happy. He likes the space and storage along with a big fridge. Since I eat a high raw, high plant based diet, I need lots of fridge space as well. I could never go back to sticks and bricks again. I love love love my life and I love challenge myself to see how much I can downsize and still be happy. My dear hubby and I have a little difference of opinion on that front. lol. We have compromised and found a happy medium. I hope to cross paths with you someday in our travels. You seem to be part of my tribe. I watch your videos all the time and I am very impressed by your authenticity, your wisdom and how open you are to growing and sharing what you have learned in life. Thanks for sharing your life with us. :) God bless you and keep you safe.
We full times in 26ft Class C 2006-2009. Miss the freedom and having less STUFF. Also WFPlant based , all my blood work vast improvement!! This year my body got rid of 2 each 5 mm kidney stones, all clear now!! No more Fatty Liver, it's the food!! Now at 70, it's hard to watch my dear old friends and relatives getting serious sickness from what they are eating 😢
Thank you for allowing us to spend a day with you in your adventurous life! Your honesty is refreshing. I appreciate all the work you put into creating meaningful content for us. You're a beautiful person Carolyn!!
Hi Carolyn! Love your posts! I've been watching for a long time and I think you are getting younger! You look so sweet in your braids . The veggie diet and chi from the great outdoors plus a positive attitude have transformed you. Thanks for taking us along on the journey. Much love to you, Sue
Thanks Carolyn. I'm sure a lot of us had no clue how hard it is to edit s video! Thank you for sharing your time and hard work. I hope you have a great week and enjoy the sun! ✌️
CAROLYN. Thank you for inviting us into your home. What a fun video. I really enjoyed seeing what a day with you was like. The editing was so interesting. Happy Easter to you. Hugs
1st time I've seen one of your videos. I appreciate that you offer a more honest glimpse into boondocking life and some of its limits and the importance of being vigilant about water consumption. I've done this sort of thing tent camping, but never in an RV. It's VERY isolated out there. I respect that this works for you. I think it might be a bit too asocial for me. Thus, I appreciate you showing those aspects of it. Thank you for taking the time to shoot, edit and upload the video publicly, and for allowing total strangers into your home environment. (and I hate when you go to delete a scene and instead delete everything BUT the scene you wanted to edit out. UGH! Such a nightmare when that happens!)
Carolyn, @ 21:57, for scrubbing out your cookware, try using a little regular iodized table salt (buy in bulk) and use it like scrub powder to scrub down your cookware, dishes, utensils and cutting boards/surfaces. Then wipe off into your small garbage bag on the side. It has a curing effect on dried/cooked on food residues. I learned that watching one of Rachel Ray's cooking shows. Good idea to keep baking soda and white vinegar on hand for cleaning, and bathing uses (use a little/diluted with water). Mostly all natural and my grandma swore by it. ;-)
This was fun! I love seeing what kind of food you eat! I could NEVER do editing! Not enough concentration level. Thank you for working so hard for our entertainment!
So glad you reposted the video 👍 I missed it earlier. Love following your journey. For myself it has been for inspiration, bucket list ideas, educational purposes, beautiful scenery and real life ups and downs. I thank you for sharing it all. Safe & happy travels :)
Thanks for sharing your beautiful life. You bring a smile to my heart every time I watch one of your videos. You are an inspiration. May you always be blessed on your journey. 🌸
Vampire Slayer Maybe what you see, as I do, grief from the loss of Capone, it's still fresh, still, it's difficult when you lose your bbf, as animal lovers/owners do. A saddness remains, aways, I believe.
Thank you Carolyn I had no idea the amount of time you put into editing your videos. I new that there were many cameras being used most times but the editing portion was very informative...Thank you. Thank you for the education you are offering people Ihave no doubt you have educated many people in the art of boondocking.
Saw the first one, I’m sorry to hear you had to delete and repost. Carolyn you inspire me. You are so real, honest and kind. I loved your morning views as well with the bird singing. Your bed making skills are an amazing super power. Thank you for the tour. Namaste 🙏🏼 my friend ❤️🌵
Woke up, fell out of bed Dragged a comb across my head Found my way downstairs and drank a cup And looking up I noticed I was late Found my coat and grabbed my hat Made the bus in seconds flat Made my way upstairs and had a smoke And everybody spoke and I went into a dream
Love love love the video. Enjoyed my day with you, got a kick out of your work scenes, glad you showed us that, that's a lot of stuff going on there. Carolyn stay true to yourself, thanks for keeping it clean entertainment. 🤗😘🤗
Thanks for sharing your day, made me smile. Particularly the making of the bed. I recently bought a rv, the bed layout is just like yours, and making it is... well, just like you did. 🤣 I’m only a weekend wonderer and enjoyed seeing how you make it all work. Thanks!!
This has been my absolutely favourite video so far. Thank you so much for sharing what your day looks like in your RV Carolyn, you have inspired me so very much! Blessings & hugs 💕
Aloha from Maui ! I met you through Caravan Carolyn's vids. I could feel the joy of waking to a new day as you pulled back the curtains...perfectly wonderful ! Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Excellent job on the video, Carolyn! I loved it. I (Sharon) don't watch videos too often these days because like you, I'm editing them, but I do like to stop by now and then and keep up with some of my favorite RU-vidrs. I hear you on the time spent on editing. But your video turned out so awesome! Our days are quite similar to yours. I love that you try to get out to walk each day. I want to do that more. Good for you on making the bed. We used to always make the bed when we lived in our house but for some reason stopped once we got on the road. Happy trails!
Great video! It's good to get an idea of 'a day in the life'. Wow, I had no idea that producing a video was so labor intensive! It looks kind of exhausting! I know it was very windy the day you filmed this, but do you ever get a chance to sit outside to work? It was so beautiful! Can't wait to get out there to throw open my curtains to a view like that! Thanks Carolyn! After this, I'll definitely have a deeper appreciate of the effort you put forth to share your RV life with us!
Love how you conserve water when washing dishes! I do the same when rving for holidays- my husband thinks I'm too stingy, but boy can I make our water last! Great video!
Hi Carolyn, Big fan, usta do dune buggies in the 70's, camped all over southern Ca. with like minded friends. Some years back pulled a 25' Sportsman travel trailer with my Suburban camping around northern Nv. I'd love to be doing what your doing but I just turned 75 and not in the best health so I have to stay close to home so I'll just keep watching you enjoy the life style Love, Chuck
We met the nicest 82 year old gentleman at the roundup in Quartsite. He had just begun his journey in his newly remodeled motor home. Best wishes to Gene wherever you are at this time.
@@cherriemckinstry131 That might be true but at his age (82)...you could say that he does know but is more interested in helping the homeless through his church. He is a good man.
Thank you so much for sharing your day. I so want this lifestyle, but it is taking longer than I want. I'll continue to live vicariously through you and a few others in the mean time, if you don't mind. Take care, and keep sharing!
This is the first time I've seen the process of editing. What detailed work! Now I understand why it takes so much time to edit even just one video! Thanks for sharing a day in the life of Carolyn. Blessings to you! 💥
OMG that video editing is too time consuming and technical no wonder your videos are superb Cz they have lots of effort behind them thank you so much for brightening our days love you from Pakistan 💚💕
That was so very fascinating! I thank you for keeping it real. You are truly one very special and I highly respect you for all you do to bring us your finished product.
Thank you for posting all of these videos about your life living in an RV . My husband and I are seriously thinking about taking the plunge in to RV life and your videos have helped us learn a lot
i watched the entire video and noticed/learned some good points in your routines. the dishes, the kitchen routines, for instance, i liked and gave a thumbs-up.
That was awesome! Thank you Carolyn for inviting us into your home. God bless, safe travels. If you're ever up in North central WI come park in my yard.
Carolyn, Don't ever let anybody or what they may say, discourage you from doing "you"! You are a strong woman and you are REAL! The people who accept that are the people who will be by your side on your journey forever! I love you and keep on keeping on! Love Amy.
Loved it Carolyn. Been watching your channel since the beginning and love how you have improved over the years. 😊 I just started a channel myself for our full time travels and I can also say how long it takes to edit 14 seconds! It’s so much fun though and such a creative outlet. By the way....your wearing the shirt I’ve had on my Amazon wishlist for a while. I LOVE that shirt and it fits my trail name ...”Spookie”. Awesome video. Hugs!
Your such an inspiration. Because of you and another channel, I've been living full time in my rv for a year now. Your channel gave me the courage to follow my dreams. And every day had been wonderful. Im still working 40 hours a week at a job, so I'm not travelling. I have a plan to save a set amount of money, then start travelling working short term jobs here and there. Your an amazing, strong, independent, intelligent woman!!! Thank you for your honesty and kindness - through everything!♡♡♡
Thank you for inviting us into your life. I love the freedom you have to take a walk when the notion strikes in the middle of the day. You work long hours but on your schedule Awesome! It is great you make/take time to enjoy the beautiful places you boondock "most days" Mostly I love you outlook on life 😁 it is your life and only you know what works for you 💕
I have been watching your videos for a year now and I had to add my 2 cents..... don’t worry about what others say.... you are an inspiration to me. I find you to be a daring and courageous lady. It takes a special kind of person to do what you do. I have been living vicariously through you. Thank you for posting your courageous life on RU-vid!!
I really appreciated the day in the life. It actually made me feel more motivated to add to my daily routine and be inspired to work in starting healthy and ending healthy 😊. I often find those I have chosen to follow as I began to prepare for my own boondocking (going full time, been part time) make me feel what I want to require of myself is not too much when I space out and plan days to complete them in portions! Thank you!
Looks like Arizona. I have a small cabin in silver springs. It’s a little more hilly but the plant life or lack thereof seems the same. I drive my 1987 Ford 26’ RV there on the weekends and work on the cabin and enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. Enjoying your videos👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you Carolyn... so very pleasant and genuine... simply wonderful. Just the way you are... keep your days full of all that matters and that makes you feel good. Being Authentically...You. Enjoyed...🤗. *Van🚐Wings🦋*
I loved this video, my friend, you are so real and how refreshing that is! I had no idea how much work editing is, so interesting to watch, you are a pro ! Thank you for sharing this with us, I see how hard you work to bring us these great video’s. Loved your tip on spinach, my favorite veggie! Thanks again for the invite, sending hugs and prayers.🌷
This was fun to watch, thank you for sharing. Your day is full with work, I didn’t realize all that you had to do to get a video ready for us to see! Your salad for dinner looked yummy
Hi Linda! Yes, there's a lot that goes into making enjoyable and creative videos. I do love the creative part of the process. Thank you so much!! Hope you enjoyed your Easter! Carolynh
One of my favorite videos. Real life thanks for taking us on your adventures. Scenery is gorgeous. I love how real you keep it. Bought an RV hope to go on a adventure. Your bravery and adventure inspire me.
This was not what I expected but glad you shared your daily life, I know its not all play but got to see how much work and time is involved. You have my respect and I will appreciate the travel videos even more now. Thank you.
Thank's for sharing, just started watching recently. Very informative videos, I drove a truck for many years, living in cramped quarters isn't always easy but do-able, you figure out what you need and don't need quickly. I had the intentions of doing the same thing traveling solo etc... Things didn't go as planned but after watching your videos I realize I wasn't prepared and very uneducated in boon docking so it was probably for the best. Keep up the good work and have a great day. :)
Thanks for giving woman the courage to do it alone! In January I purchased a 36' Fifth wheel and in a few short weeks I will be on a seasonal site. I love Joshua trees as well!
I've seen a few of your videos before, and I've seen other videos criticizing your videos. I always feel a little happier after watching your videos. Especially this video. And I'm always happy. 👍Thank you for sharing, educating, and being kind. Those heirloom tomatoes looked delicious!
Thank you for sharing. I have a question... your dinner made me smile ... That's one of my go to meals ... I do the same thing to hurry my tofu. (Squish with paper towels, always in a hurry) I have a question about the nooch. Do you keep it in the freezer? Is that necessary? I've been using it for about a year and never heard anything about that. Does it go rancid? Maybe I use it up to fast. I love it! My very favorite dish lately is nacho sauce made with chickpeas, salsa, and nooch, basically. I put it on everything! pasta, tortilla chips, dip veggies , potatoes, beans n rice (all gluten free of course) ... maybe I use it up too quick to go bad? Lol. my vegetarian friends and even meat eaters love it. Do you use a blender ? I think I need one on the road but I'm afraid it'll be too much power. maybe too hard to clean? I have a lot of questions regarding cooking n preparing a whole food diet. Watching other RVers, seems like there is a lot of quick and packaged food and I was worried that this would be too hard in an rv. Sorry this got so long Lol, I was just going to ask about freezing nutritional yeast. 😁✌❤
Thanks for sharing a day in your life, Carolyn. You have inspired this 62 year-old to take the leap and free myself from a sticks and bricks and all that goes along with owning one. Kudos to you, dear one.
Thanks for sharing your day..... I give you great appreciation for the video editing section, you tubers always talk about how much it takes.... but no one has ever actually shown the process that I know of......such a long process, thanks for your dedication to producing quality videos..... Carolyn, you rock!!!!
Thank you so much Pamela! I'm glad showing the editing process was helpful! This video actually took me about 40 hours of editing. This one was a monster.. LOL. It was fun to see the final result though and to see how much you all enjoyed it! hugs, Carolyn
Hi, Carolyn, I enjoy your video so much I am a 67-year young grandmother and cancer server this what I always wont to do but I never thought I could but witching you brings me so much joy to see it can be done keep up the good work.HAPPY 2020
Carolyn, gosh. You make it look so inviting. I know you have difficult times just like the rest of us, but you consistently present professional, kind and interesting content. Good job, in case you haven't heard it enough, I think you're terrific.
Love your openness. I must say first thing in my life is the coffee Before the bed tho lol. Being so real is wonderful , thank you. I never realized it would take that long to edit a video, did you learn before you hit the road? What do you suggest to do ahead of time to prepare. One day ( a couple years) I would love to be out on the road like you and would love to do videos especially for family and friends to know where I am and how I'm doing. I must also say I love your rig set up :) :)
Thanks Carolyn. Love meeting you at the RTR. I appreciate your hard work on the videos. You have much more patience than me. I really dislike editing. Keep up the good work. Love you gal. Joseph :)
This popped up so I decided to watch it again. It's different seeing you without a dog. I remember that was such a heartbreaking time for you. Love seeing you so happy with Sadie girl in your life🐾🦋🐾🦋💙💙
I have been thinking of an RV life for sometime and a month ago I started watching your videos. I found them so inspiring that I bought myself a travel trailer. Thank you for motivating me.
I really loved your video. I have watched you from the very beginning and while I dont comment much, this was one of my favorites. (I’ll be back in Patreon soon 🤓)
Hi Carolyn, I subscribe to your channel a year ago. Thank you for inviting me into your home to see how your rvlifestyle is like. Your morning routine afternoon and evening is all normal to me. I like the way you sit cause I sit just like that to get comfortable. I really don't see anything different at all. I can not even say any mean thing to say. This's what I'll say, " You are very brave to be out there bondocking out of nowhere land, and living a free lifestyle. I love it!!
Thanks for inviting us into your house. Loved it.!!!keep up the good work.!!love your life. I love to explore and walk. And love the solitude.!!! Love your videos!!!❤🙏
This is an amazing video ! Just seeing a normal day in your life. Not just the glam shots everyone else posts. Fascinated by you creating a video. I'm worn out , and brain fried ! Lol !! Bravo girl !!
Carolyn, I have watched you off and on for the past couple of years and I have always looked up to you and the way you live. I desire to be as free and loving as you are in my life. The idea of being a nomad is so intriguing to me. Now to figure it all out and live life on my terms and not other peoples idea of how my life should be lived. Thank you for doing what you do.
Love how free & peaceful the lifestyle really is, calling your own shots & not being rushed by anyone or anything! How awesome, be safe, have fun & as always, stay happy! 👍👌🤓😉😁☕
