Follow me on a beautiful winters day down in New Zealand as I feed all my 320 Jersey dairy cows which are outside on grass. Electric fencing, moving cows and more
Thanks For Watching!!!

Hey I’m Andrew The Once A Day Farmer, I farm alongside my father on my family dairy farm in New Zealand.
Our Dairy system is quite unique as we only milk our 320 jersey cows 'Once A Day' (hence the name) only in the morning, and they stay outside on grass for 365 days of the year!!

You might need to explain how great it is in the Waikato compared to how cold it is in the South Island, it's a different world down in South land.

You know your in good country when you can dig the post hole with a shovel. We dug out our single foot of topsoil and dug a couple more feet then just got the tractor to knock the posts in. I'm glad you have the strip fencing down at almost every post I have to stop and untangle the wire from the reel. Thanks for the video Andrew wish you a good calving Ben for Aus

Good question! But no I have no idea, wouldn’t be to bad, some of the bigger sheep and beef farms that I worked on, we did electric fences that were 1.2km long and that was 3 wire for sheep 😩 definitely don’t miss that 😂 I am and I’m not, it’s nice to have a bit of down time at the moment but I love seeing the next generation of calves coming through and what this years heifers milk like, it’s a pretty interesting time of the year
