I’m enjoying your channel Sir. Great content. I just found yours and back watching all the episodes. Trucking, family, wood chopping, diet, gardening, and most importantly the Bible references. There’s more than I initially thought this would be as a trucking channel. Keep up the good work Dillon.

@@bluegrassoutdoors you’re very welcome dillon and thanks for your kind words as well. by the way i’ve recently stumbled across halvor lines. their paid cdl program pays 1k per week! their trucks are equipped with hdtv, satellite, fridge/freezer, and microwave. they provide transportation to training as well. ive been in contact with a guy who drove for them a couple different times and he just raves about them and how great that they treat their drivers. i haven’t been able to find many driver reviews about them. through your research, do you happen to have any knowledge about halvor lines? as of this moment, based on what i’ve learned so far, I’m leaning towards halvor instead of roehl. God bless and may he keep you safe out there.

Looks like all is going good Dillon happy for yah brother👍. Can't believe its been 3 months already...WOW. You're getting a lot of good experience on the road for sure. Speaking of gardens, I had the past 2 weeks off and we started getting ready those 4 raised beds that I had built last year for planning. I ended up putting hardware wire around them and built a gate door to keep the animals out. For some reason our dogs like to eat the radishes and carrots 😅. I should have made a video about that. Maybe I will make a video just to show you how it turned out. Also show the progress of the stuff growing in the garden too. Well thats all for now Dillon . Wishing you and the family all the best.....👍🤙 48:07 48:07

Just make sure that you research a company really well before you make the decision to go to work for them. Just because they might be a company that you can be home more doesn’t mean they’re a good company or a company you’ll be happy with. Good luck with whatever you decide to do in the future: God Bless you.
@lidmontgomery8837
@lidmontgomery8837 2 месяца назад
I agree❤ because there’s stipulations with some companies even though the company will SAY that there’s guarantee pay or premium pay, if you end up with a bad company or a bad fleet manager, they will deny you for just about anything after you’ve done your part and more, also ask your recruiter questions about the guarantee pay like what are the reasons for not qualifying for the pay? How often can the guarantee pay be denied? Who can deny it? And can you dispute the disapproval, how often does fleet managers deny guaranteed pay etc etc…. But within a matter of time you will realize if the company actually does pay the guarantee or NOT, because they will be consistent with NOT paying regardless of your professionalism or your work ethic.

I write things down because a lot of shippers and receivers don't have good service plus I dont have get my phone out to fuel Trip planning relieves the stress of "Oh my gosh where am I going to park". Then you got lazy truckers doing lazy parking like parking in front of the cat scale. Random parking is a risky way to get your sleep interrupted booted or ticketed. I thought that's why we ask God to bless our food to the "nourishment to our bodies" 😂. You're better than me I won't do the veggie diet. I love meat too much. Be safe out there driver.

You make some good points! Trip planning would definitely help me, I believe. It's no fun being woke up and made to leave. So far, the vegitarian diet hasn't been too bad. I have had some stomach problems, probably my body trying to adjust, lol. What company do you drive for? If you don't mind me asking.

@@givenhawk thanks for the reply. actually i have looked into maverick as well as many many others. don’t have much interest in flat bed. all that tarping and strapping looks like more than i wanna deal with at my age. i recently stumbled across halvor lines. they have a paid cdl program that pays trainees 1k a week. they pay for transportation to training and their trucks are equipped with hd tv, satellite, fridge/freezer, and microwave. i haven’t been able to find a whole lot of driver reviews of them out there on the web but i did speak to a guy who worked for them a couple different times and he just couldn’t say enough good things about them. as of now im leaning towards halvor and away from roehl. we shall see. take care.

Congratulations my friend and I wish you the best with it 👍 in my experience, so far I have brought home around $800-$1200 a week. I do know that you get raises your first year and also have the option to be a trainer or owner operator or both after 6 months, if you qualify. And I've heard some people say being an owner operator tripled their profit.

good stuff brother. much appreciated. they'll charge you 1000 bucks to bring your pet, taking 100 bucks a check till you get to $1000. i think i'll leave my beagle at home for that much, as much as id like to have him, that's a big chunk of change there.
