Me too! I love watching these. I'm 17 and in my soon senior year of highschool and I kind of really want to be a teacher so these are not only fun to watch but they help me to observe and learn a little bit of what its like. I honestly don't know if I do want to or not or if I'm teacher material or not, and I'm so lost. Which I know is normal in highschool, but do you have any advice or anything on the subject? like, how/when did you know you wanted to be and were going to be a teacher? If you don't mind helping lol, it's much appreciated! :)

I’m in a similar situation with preschool. Only a half hour lunch break with 15 minutes of planning after school. With Covid, we now have a whole day for planning and sanitization and honestly it’s such a game changer. I never stay late after school anymore

Observations are also an awesome way to find out what age group you want to teach! Try and find some schools in your area that'll let you come by an observe if possible!

It'll go by faster than you think! It is from Young Living!

The majority of Universities have "Elementary Education" as a major option for those who want to be certified K-5 (or sometimes K-6). For secondary education (Grades 6-12) at my University, we have to major in Mathematics with a Major in Mathematics Education which is basically similar to being a pure math major but instead of taking on more math courses with your electives, you fill up your electives with education courses while taking each of the 3 certification tests throughout your years there. They have multiple classes where you do field experience, meaning you observe and teach lessons. I know for Freshmen and Sophomores in the program, you have Step 1 and Step 2 which are both field experience classes. Step 1 is field experience in elementary school, and Step 2 is field experience in middle school. If you transfer after receiving your Associate's degree (your AA), you can do a COMBO Step 1&2 course which is field experience in middle school. Both Step 2 and COMBO have a substitute teacher seminar at the end which allows you to be a sub for the county after you pass that class if you wish. We also have two other classes, Classroom Interactions and Problem-Based Instruction that give you field experience in high school. This is what it's like for my uni, FIU, but others generally have an "Elementary Education" degree if you know you would like to teach in primary schools! :D
