Hey everyone Shaman here! I'm showing what a school day is like at Yale School of Medicine! This is my first time vlogging so it might not be the most well produced video I've ever made but I hope you still enjoy it!
Everyone seemed really supportive of his RU-vid channel. They all thought he was cute until they saw he scored in the 100th percentile. Sh*t just got serious LOL!
thank you thank you thank you - for giving all of us a real perspective of how medical is actually like. You're really helping out people like me who are not sure whether they want to commit to medicine or not. continue the great work. :))
Thank you so much for making this video! Was a really good look into the actual day in the life, but moreso it showed just how genuine and kind you are. Definitely will make a caring and genuine physician. Have a great day!
This video made me subscribe instantly and binge watch your entire channel. You’re such an inspiration and it’s a breath of fresh air how you’re so open and honest with sharing your success with others. Bless your kind soul 👏
I LOOOOOOVE THIS VIDEO ❤️ I'm glad your peers are so supportive of your RU-vid, I could see your worries disappeared after you saw how nice and excited people were about it 😊 Thank you for sharing!
I love the vlog, thanks for showing us a peek of your day! I just wanted to ask if you could do a video of your study routine or how you delegate studying each day? Thanks for your time and energy into this channel for all of us :)
Have you ever thought about making an Instagram or a Snapchat? Would love to be updated with your journey into med school along with intakes into your personal life! You’re so motivational and hardworking! Love it! :)
Hey shaman could you please make a video talking about ur path to medical school, talking about everything you did to get into Yale from grades, clubs, extracurricular, volunteering, clinical experience etc basically everything that would be really helpful
Wow that’s so cool you go to school at Yale! I am almost done with my MS in sociology at a university in New Haven. Some of the best schools are in CT. Awesome vlog!
Vlogging is always feels awkward the first time, I know that's how I feel about it lol, but you did great! Thanks for the inside scoop on life at Yale (pre-covid ofc)! Great all-around channel/resource for students at every stage
Great video, that sucks your classmate injury. I thought. It was some kinda practicing face care. Happy recovery to her. Very interesting video. Had fun watching.
Hi Shaman! I'm new to your channel by way of your sister! Thank you for giving us a glimpse into what it's really like for a medical student! I'm currently a Junior and this serves as a reminder of what I'm working towards. You should continue making more vlogs, maybe show us how you stay organized and when you start prepping for Step 1. I really liked your personality and that of your classmates you guys all seem so relatable!
+MiAdriLin Thank you for the kind words and for your support! Yes definitely will be making more vlogs and personal content! I have so many ideas but so little time!
I couldn't be in a lecture hall with that much going on because of my anxiety. 😔 I'm an online student but I do have to attend weekend residencies occasionally at the grad school I'm going to next year. Anyway, I loved watching this and I'm so excited you're going to be able to vlog your experiences!! It's so interesting and your classmates seem really nice.
guiltmenot so how do you plan on becoming an actual doctor and interacting with patients when you can't do something as simple as attending a lecture don't mean to be rude or anything just genuinely curious
Lulu Z I'm not a medical student. I'm going to be a graduate student for counseling psychology and will be supported throughout the program. I already work with kids now. And it kinda did come across as rude since you referred to it as simple when some people can't even leave their house and walk outside.
Cool...hope you upload more videos.....Its good to be a Viewer of your channel...helpful....hope you upload more helpful videos to all medicos out there
Hi there i just start watching your vlogs and i like it i think you inspired me and a lot of people so GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND ALL THE BEST AND GOD BLESS❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤✌
Hi Shaman, Great tips and really enjoy the raw/real content. Any tips on acing GRE exam or can you recommend a good youtuber? Much appreciated. Keep up the content! Thank you!
Hello! I'm new to your channel and this is first time watching your video. Just saw the thumbnail and landed up here. Its good to watch medical students from other country. I'm from India I'm a 4th year medical student and now I'm going to give my final board exams within a month. :)
Hey, what's your curriculum at Yale like? block? organ system? how much patient exposure is integrated into your 1st year schedule. Are you required to do research projects? Where can you get these details before applying? I think it would help pre-med students like me narrow down schools (besides location, cost, match % etc) for application.
Yeahwhateveridc it’s very rare to see minority women in STEM or medical fields, and since there aren’t many hijabi women it’s even more rare to see them in those fields. So when you recognize someone that looks similar to you in a field that you are aspiring to be in it’s pretty amazing.
I appreciate you doing these about Yale, I thought all Med Schools did it the same way. I was sooo wrong. Yale is now “on the list”. How many non-trads have you seen on campus? (I’m VERY NON-traditional)
Honestly, I think that you are an inspiration to many of us. I greatly appreciate all of the information that you have shared in this video as well as on other videos. I would greatly appreciate it if you could make a video where you talk about the extracurriculars you have done throughout undergrad, and tips for time management. Please like the comment if you agree with me and want a video on what I stated :). Thank You :)
Hi I am just wondering which medical schools you were accepted into and why did you choose Yale? My brother is going through the interview process right now. I would really appreciate if you could answer this. :)
thank you so much for your amazing videos! I just started college and am in my first semester and was wondering what you would do if you were me. I am a premed student but no matter how hard I am working my grades are not all As, and I am so scared. What would you do? I feel like giving up :( i half 1/2 a semester left, and feel sad if my starting grades are bad. do you think its possible to get really good grades on the final to make up for everything? thank you!!
I definitely wouldn't give up! Always try your best no matter what! Even in the worst case scenario you'll still improve your grades and become smarter even if you don't end up with all A's this semester. And don't be scared; take on the challenge and really focus on studying more! Being successful is not a sprint it's a marathon! As long as you're trying your best, the A's will start coming easier and easier throughout the semesters!
Please cover how much makeup to wear to a med school interview. I know it's not something guys need to worry about but as a female it is pretty important to get right. I'm thinking very little or none at all but would like u and ur sisters opinions. Thanks!
Hi there! I made a note taking video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2vp_Oe6ct08.html A video on my memorization strategies is coming soon!
