It’s hard to film enough stuff and edit it on the road to be able to do long ones. I’m trying a new thing this tour doing short ones each day and trying to do them for every day of the tour. I’ll maybe do longer ones again for the next tour and do 1 video for the whole tour.
I travelled to Rock Im Park from South Africa to see you guys. You did an incredible job man, I was right up front and it was some of the best and most intese sound I have ever experienced. My that kick drum cleared my sinuses right out haha. Big ups
The console has a waves card installed, this outputs each channel into a network switch which links to a Mac mini I have in my rack. I then use waves tracks live to record the channels and play back to the desk for virtual soundcheck. Also on the network switch is a new aves sound grid server for running plugins but I haven’t got around to setting that up and using it properly yet 😅 The hard drive in the console is a Samsung t7, I use this to record the desk LR mix each day. I found with some usb sticks the console recording would skip and corrupt but with this ssd it’s been fine every time!
I didn’t film enough at Rockville, for that show we had limited crew so I was more busy on the tour and it’s hard to film and edit while still doing my job!
Thanks for one more great video . May I ask you if you are using the Fusion and Maxx BCL at the same time on your Master LR ? I´m using also the Maxx BCL which is great but it seems like the Fusion is also a really great tool , as I can see them in many foh racks right now :D
Do you know what happened with the audio engineering for Babymetal? Something didn't work out properly during their set, particularly during 'Brand New Day'. Unfortunately, it fell far short of the heights it can hit (as we saw at fox_fest) and seemed that many of Su's vocals didn't come through properly.
Small Rig clamps, says in the video text. They are nice. I bought a couple after seeing a previous video like this. They come with just camera threads so you have to also buy the mic stand thread adaptor.
