Many Chinese tend to say (pronounce) "breakfirst" not breakfast. The meaning of breakfast is this: to break your fast. Overnight while sleeping people typically eat nothing (fast) for about 12 to 14 hours. Eating nothing is called "fasting" so when you start eating again (breakfast) you break a fast.
@markplain2555
@markplain2555 4 года назад
You know in French it's called a "small lunch" which might be more appropriate given the size of this guy's breakfirst.
@clay09
@clay09 4 года назад
I think you're just hearing their accent saying it that way not necessarily that they are trying to say "first".
@danblumel
@danblumel 4 года назад
@@clay09 No they think it has something to do with the "first" meal of the day. I have discussed this with more than a few Chinese English teachers in China. They learn it wrong from their past teachers and pass it to their students. Also there is no " r " in fast. If you were correct they would be saying "breakfist", but they clearly say "breakfirst".

Nice look into some of entrepreneurial culture of these types of workers. I will say though being on Taobao a lot and other online market platforms.. i suggest to graphic design editors to stop making their products look too "edited" haha I think people actually prefer to see just a regular good quality photo (w/videos of possibly). I had to often by costumes for performances since my teachers requires we do so(such is the life of performers ;-;) and even simple materials like 丝巾 for 秧歌 dance is hard to find good shop online XD Also I have a friend that worked specifically as an English Taobao third-party seller. Though pretty sure he has no job now, he said it was quite low pay.
