Scrapping e-waste out is a day to day routine so I thought i'd share my Monday with you all, Recovering precious metal items from boards, scrapping a server, a PC, an LCD TV, a DVD Recorder, Taking scrap metal to the yard, having my e-waste commodities picked up and sold, it's just another day in the life of me.
Scrapping tools, safety gear, metal melting furnaces, crucibles and ingot moulds that I use or recommend.. www.amazon.com/shop/ewasteben

Hi Ben, all. Firstly a happy new year to all you scrappers from around the world. I’ve just started in the last year or so due to covid. Find it awesome to be honest. Just wanted to add that there’s much more stuff to scrap than just the metal. I’ve been selling the steel runners that the DVD holder runs on, springs, the little motors. The glass on printers, all sells on eBay. Even the little driver belts etc. Great work ewaste Ben, love what you do along with Tin Man. All the best for next year.

I've gotten really interested in scrapping because of these videos. Once I have some land that I own I'd like to start doing this myself as a hobby. Did some research though and I can't find many reliable scrap yards that take a variety of materials. Most places won't even take things like microwaves as scrap steel, or if they do they require a small fee and don't give you anything for it. It's sounding like I'll be limited just to copper and aluminum.

CD-DVD Drives have small magnets inside that are extremely powerful, I think they're neodymium magnets. They sell online for about $15 per 60, I don't know what you'd get scrapping them but may be worth checking out. Great channel, interesting to watch.

I know this is kind of late, but you should get a digital multimeter and check the voltage drop across the lead acid/lithium batteries to see if they have the appropriate voltage. then maybe you can sell them confidently even if they are old. Great vids

20:00 isnt that.... The intrusion switch? this one usually sits somewhere behind the doorlid to detect an unautorized opening of the system so the alarm can set off. This switch might be switching the other way round like usually, it could be a normally closed one (NC) pressing the button means that the contacts are open. the opening in the doorlid is more like a hole to mount a lock in there. As authorized personnel, service crew, U have to get in there at least somehow... but tell me.: why dont U sell the entire set instead of scrapping it?

have you ever considered selling the cages themselves? These are after all multi purpose steel boxes, they are easy to stack, sure they take up space, I am not saying to keep them all but, server racks and cages are modular steel structures aswell, I don't know it seems to me that something with so many uses could be worth reselling. I'd keep the switches and those packaged electronics you could probably try to sell them to electronic stores in your area, that stuff if is not used lasts decades easily. Btw I have no doubt you already considered all of this, I'd love to know what makes sense from a numbers point of view, also have you ever considered expanding? like renting a warehouse to store items for long term reselling?
