Gentleman, you are going to the next level! Most people in scrapping e-waste business work for money, you are the only one that tell us that you having fun of those pollutimg and health hazardous process. I wonder what your neighbor will say when they see this.

Love hate relationship with those big flat screens. My yard won't take the screen but the transfer station doesn't charge me to drop it off. So I get the boards and scrap steel. Mostly its about reducing what goes in the landfill and growing my client relationships.

This is such a great video! The girlfriend and I are big fans. We try to figure out what quality the boards are and such as you are pulling it all apart. Good times

" LCDs are subject to an EU Directive that stipulates that the mercury and liquid crystals must be removed" LCD screens also contain indium. It supposed to be properly recycled. Mercury is in fluorescent tubes which are used in older TVs and monitors as a backlight.

Lolo I spent a large part of my day yesterday stripping down all sorts of Ewaste DVRs DVD PC charges it was long but building up my Ewaste keep on trucking Ben

Hi ben, i have another challenge for you to do. Do a bottom of the barrel scrapping video. Where there is only like vacumes, kettles, irons. Very low grade stuff. Here in New Jersey usa they leave nothing behind. Everything is acrapped. Thanks for the videos!

One of those big flat TVs is better than about 6 CRT TVs. More scrap steel weight and better circuit boards, copper, aluminum, wire, and less heavy lead glass weight.

Hey Ben! I really enjoy these videos you make, I don't have the space at home (small apartment with a family) so I don't really have the opportunity to scrap things out and collect for gold recovery, but I get to follow along on your adventures which is great fun. I have a question though, Is there always stuff left out on the side of the road? Or is this maybe just for a few months out the year? I assume that the city comes by with a huge truck and picks it all up, but here in Canada with have nothing like this. In Canada if you had a pile bigger then a couple bags you have to take it to the city dump yourself! I think the way you guys do it is pretty good since it allows private recyclers to come around and reduce the volume of materially making it to the dump. Also, traditionally it might be called scrapping, but really you're a recycler and you're your doing work to keep good usable material out of landfills and that's a great thing. Keep scraping!

Probably a stupid comment, but i can't get my head around the advanced side of circuit boards, would be great if you could do a video for dummies like me on the basics of classifying boards, chips n'stuff, what to leave/ remove... gold reco, etc etc maybe? Cheers anyway, learned heaps already, legend.

What was the model # or identification of the Hitachi Plasma TV??? I come across a lot of flat screens and I'm very hesitant to receive something like that big 55" because I've come across so many that have very small boards. Sometimes only 2 little ones not including finger strip boards. Awesome video!
