@@Thorpe God, I remember the London Underground A60/62 Stocks being rife with scratched up windows and pen markers right up to their withdrawal in 2012!
So much staff in this film have prob been with BR from the steam days. A different approach to people. Now its seems to be the law to not interact or smile.
When there was more than two or three members of staff, and people were treated right, just like they all are(staff and passengers when cancels, misses etc)
Network Southeast days were the best. Loved that job but u can tell this video is well scripted & totally fake as passengers & staff were never this polite to eachother. You can also tell the actors from the real staff. The guy & the newsagent at the beginning deffo actors.
ARE YOU OPEN YET? WHAT DOES IT BLOODY LOOK LIKE! THE USUALL ATTITUDE OF BRITSH RAIL STAFF DRIVER STICKS HIS HEAD OUT OF THE WINDOW HURRY UP I'VE NOT GOT ALL BLEEDING DAY
9:40 Just put your foot in the gate and reopen it in order to catch your train. This generally applies for catching trains if your are late but be ready to pull it out in the rare cause of an interlock fault. Jobsworths and moral preachers no discussion.
It was to prevent last-minute runners trying to board trains ready to leave. Slam-door stock didn’t have central locking and the most daring would open doors on a moving train attempting to jump aboard.
@@390h8er Thank you! Yes I’ve seen videos on here of people doing that so i understand now why they had those gates at larger stations. Lots of unhappy people though!
I assume you talk about the customers. If the staff provides you a helpful service means they are being well treated. I still keep horrible experiences during my years of service in the UK railway industry. Never again.
