I had the pleasure of riding on the Budweiser wagon in carnival parade in new Orleans in1983 that was a high light of my life I am 95 now they are beautiful horses. Lucille Duncan..
thanks it was really a fun time we had silver and gold tone deblooms o throw to the public paid for by budweiser .friend of mine workd for budweiser . i sat right behind the dog called bud thanks
I first saw the Bud Clydsdales in the mid-1950's...I was riding my bike on a Saturday morning in my neighborhood in McKalester, OK ... And suddenly, walking down the shady street was the Clydsdales and wagon and drivers and dog....They stopped and allowed me to pet the horses and the dalmation dogs...It was like a private 5-minute interaction just for me,, a 6 or 7 year old kid!
will never take these commercials or public appearances for granted again...had no real idea of the amount of effort on all levels that went behind this
They were bred in Scotland in the 1800s as a workIng ShIre Horse. I remember them bringing the coal to my house in the 50s. Ploughed the fields, used as drey horses to pull the beer barrel's to and from the Pubs and Ale houses. One of Scotland's bank's is called the Clydesdale after the Horse. So, I'm pleased these magnificent beasts are from Scotland. Greetings from Edinburgh🏴
I’m 85 yrs and would love to have been up there on that wagon. Beautiful horses, with a team that obviously love working with them. I saw the occasional pats and nose rubs of gentle kind hands.
The dalmatian on the wagon though! 😁😁😁 Tail just wagging away like he's the start of the show! So funny and precious! I love the clydesdales, to the moon. Since I was a little girl I've lived those big ole plow horses. My grandpa's neighbor who was just a stones throw from my grandpa's farm had two clydesdales (I remember them being called plow horses), and I used to hike over to the neighbor and ask if I could pet his plow horses. He'd always take me over to hug them and give them a sugar cube or two. They are so doggone tall! The neighbor had to pick me up so I could give that hug. He was so good to them. He groomed them everyday too, and every couple days they got the full bath treatment. Cool horses.
As a child back in the late 50's early 60's in Glasgow, Scotland. I used to watch our local Clydesdale pull the whisky wagons, loaded with barrels to and from the Distillery. I loved watching them and I love watching anything to do with the Budweiser Clydesdales, especially the adverts, they're fabulous.
These horses are so loved. You can tell an feel by the way these horses act. Their treated better than a King ,an a Queen. EVEN a President of America. Clydesdale horses will live on forever and never forgotten.
I have only seen the Budweiser Horses on TV. They truly are big beautiful horses, that one can’t help falling in love with. It is wonderful taking these horses from town to town, and make people happy, by just looking at them, what a treat that must be. These Gentle Giants are a beautiful American Icons !! ❤️🇨🇦❤️
It is incredibly difficult to not fall in love with these beauties, those eyes just melt my heart! Though they're not the Budweiser Clydesdales anymore in Virginia I've had the honor to stand next to and pet one of these majestic sweet giants at Busch Gardens of Williamsburg, an experience that never gets old!
Clydesdales, ALWAYS THE BEST AND NO OTHER CAN TOUCH THEIR HISTORY. I am 71 years old and I LOVED IN MY YOUNGER YEARS AND STILL TODAY, GO BUDWEISER CREW, still love your beer to.
As a current tour guide for the brewery, I can tell you tell the horses are treated like GOLD. They are VERY well cared for. It takes 5 hours to get horses and harnesses ready for an event and another 90 minutes after to clean up.
@@victoriabardsley8097 easy! They chop the bony part of their tail off at the base at an early age so they never have to deal with long tails again! Don't worry, the horses never go outside so they don't need their natural tail hair to act as a fly swatter anyway.
Amazing. You can see how much pride each team member has about their job. I was fortunate enough to live outside of St. Louis and KC. We visited Warm Springs Ranch, which is one of the breeding farms for the Clydesdales and we saw baby Otto. What an amazing place. The care of these horses are second to none.
I live in Daytona Beach, Florida. Every Spring we host Bike Week and it's epicenter is Main Street. Every year the Clydesdales come to Daytona and parade down Main Street. The bikers and locals are always thrilled about it. We love it!
I once knew an older woman, Jean. She was 92 in 2010 so I'm not sure if she's still alive. She was born and raised on a farm in Sasquatch Canada that raised this phenomenal horse! They were working horses that were sold to other farmers. She showed me pictures of her riding one of the horses to school. Also, I once saw the Budweiser Clydesdales and they are indeed giants!
I can't remember if it was late 70's or early 80's but I got to meet a team of the Budweiser Clydesdales at the California State Fair in Sacramento. I'll never forget the awwww i felt by their size and beauty. Truly a wonderful experience for the small kid that I was. 💝💐
Obsessed with the bald face blazed horse in front of the left wheel horse! I didnt realize the massive network involved with having the treams travel around
I saw em for the very first time in Anaheim CA USA at Angeles stadium afew years ago and still have my pictures of em! Will never forget that moment in time!!! They're simply amazing!!!
This comment section makes me sad The tails are docked for safety and those horses are some of the most well taken care of horses I've ever seen there are millions of people actually abusing horses and y'all are worried about these well taken care of beauties
Not going to lie, t leaves a really bad taste in my mouth as much as I love the fact they are carrying on a tradition still using these beautiful horses that have been part of this company's history, however even horses who participate in FEI extreme carriage driving at high speed going around complicated courses and tight turns don't have this done to them. Braid the tails, cut the hair short, bunch them up into a harinet even, but don't cut them off.
I once had the pleasure of seeing them at the 2018 terra huate airshow. I even talked to the handlers and they let me help them pack up, I also got to pet the horses.
These gentle giants are incredibly talented and have a wonderful disposition. We missed them at the superbowl this year and we missed the commercial! Love them!
My personal experience with the Budweiser Clydesdales was to sit on the back of one of them for a few minutes when they were in Oxnard, CA , stalled in our family International Harvester business. That was in 1956. Now, at 82 years old, I watch these videos with happy memories.
look how gentle and happy these beauties are! they are taken care of extraordinarily, and look as if they were sent from heaven. it would be amazing if i could take my father to see them, he thinks that theyre pretty neat-o, and i think even has a like a mini wagon and team on a shelf at his house.
For everyone making well-intentioned but ill-informed comments about how abused these horses are, it's quite the opposite. Their every need is taken care of. I mean... just look at all that beer!
i did not tag anyone. about nothing so sorry . if it came over that way in fact ihave no idea what this is about the comment i made was only a fact i knew and care less, about what ever . else go on else where .
@@SobrietyandSolace they’re not docked. The hair is just trimmed short and then braided up into a bun. When they’re not working, the hair is allowed to grow back.
I've always wanted to go to the Home Opener for the St. Louis Cardinals not just cause I'm a Cardinals fan but because of the best tradition in all of the MLB.
JanitorIsBack working isn’t something that is abusive for them. did you watch the video? these horses are spoiled to their retirement, they have better lives then most horses. people are so sensitive these days my lord
You will love it. The first draft horse I ever rode was a Clydesdale and their comfortable to ride bareback. You will also love the clopping of their big hooves.
Watched them filming a commercial in Yosemite in the 90's and have loved and followed them since. Going to their home in March to learn more about them.
Sawr them up close at the Mercado In Orlando and I use to see them out in the pastures along the highway when some were kept at the Busch owned parks. When I was a Girl Scout (back in 1990ish), we went over to Busch Gardens and got to see a 10 day old foal with his mama. Love to think he grew to pull the wagon.
They are a a Scottish Shire horse used for ploughing the very rough land for the Farmers . Also used as Drey Horses to Pull the Beer Barrel's to the Pubs and Ale House. They have been around since the early 1800s bred for their hard work, gentle docile nature and sheer strength. They are enormous and magnificent. Greetings from Scotland 🏴
