Its midway through summer break and the kids are getting tired of being couped up in the house all day. We decided to break away on a Friday afternoon and see a movie at the local theater. The new minions movie fit the bill to entertain two adults and 4 kids 6 and under. Come with us as we enjoy a movie and get a little sneak peak into our lives and the some of the upcoming decisions we need to make.

Hey! Thanks for sharing your day in the life! Y'all are working so hard. So nice to take a night off. We try to take at least 1 night a week off, too. Your garden beds are looking nice! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Oh jeez you two are crazy busy!!! You need a dump truck of dirt in your backyard and grade it so the water flows away from your house, just my humble opinion 😂Maybe you’re at the point where you need to hire help!! Yes, and your opinion is spot on. We have plans to remove as much of the rock as we can and then bring in at least a couple inches of topsoil to level everything before laying sod. We will likely do rock beds around the house with either desert or low water plants to keep water away from the foundation and basement.

Can you do domes over the beds to protect?

We have thought about maybe a smallish greenhouse, we get lots of microburst type storms here with really high winds for short periods of time, its been a challenge for sure.
