@@Paintball1212 hello! No school that I know of. I’m still studying. They gave me 3 weeks to study. Application to take the state exam says to be ready before you send it in. :) pretty easy I’d say! Just read it and memorize

@@jaystechroom easy if you read the book they provide and get to the test site an hour early and just read the entire book just sort of speed read,what your eyes see will be in your brain and you can easy call up the information when you need it

@@ErockHQ I actually got a call before the pest control job to be a photographer so I’m doing that now lol. Never went to take the test but I hear it’s worth it. Good benefits. I might jump on it once someone leaves where my buddy is working at.

It is a requirement to keep long sleeves, safety goggles, and a respirator in our vans. These materials are used when required according to the pesticide label. The Label states what PPE Gear are required, which could include wearing Long Sleeves.

i live in california and what you described is basically the law here. I cant imagine spraying everyday without a respirator and long sleeves but i think the culture of california generally causes people to be more aware of affects on personal and environmental health. Many in the industry say were overly regulated but when it comes to health and environment id rather error on the side of caution.

Almost 100 % when using dust applications above you the label calls for some type of eye pro 😄

In Illinois the back pack sprayer is for fogging for mosquito and we wear way more than he is

Why should he when he's working for one? I know someone who was a fellow pest tech, he left and started his own. He's been quite successful, but all the headaches are on him now as the owner.

@@kiddsosa1311 My buddy is doing really well, but I get the sense that he wouldn't do it again. I personally wouldn't.

We do not treat for cars, however, we recommend thoroughly cleaning out the car to get rid of the food source that the ants are attracted to.

@@GoForthPestControl thanks for your response. No food in our cars at all actually. They just seem to have nested in our cars weather stripping, frame channels, fender wells, on top of gas tanks, pretty much all places we can't get to. We tried baiting them but didn't notice any change. Sometimes on a humid night they seem to move locations on the vehicles and we see them walking along the door frames and sometimes like the other night right on top of the painted surfaces. We treated the ground but they don't seem to leave the cars inner sections. Not in the interior, I mean just hidden spaces on the exterior and under the cars. It's frustrating. I found a group of them and sprayed but their reign continues..

I know I am here to late but cleaning up and some bait in areas that kids won't be able to touch. I caught a rat once in a car 😄

@@Conald_isAfalseProphet try placing the bait stations on the car hood near the doors and maybe on the car roof ,the bait will actually lure them out of the car to get the bait
