Hi Pavlo, thanks for taking us along to spend time with your parents in their country home. It looks very peaceful and quite there. Your mom is a good cook. Everything looked delicious, especially the Potato Pancakes. My ancestors are Polish and I remember my Uncle liking that Beet Horseradish that you your talking about. I can't remember what they called it in Polish but it is probably similar in Ukraine. It is great that you have a close relationship with your parents. They seem like wonderful and hard working people. Wishing Peace and happiness to all in Ukraine.

Hi Pavlo, great to see you and you enjoyed the time with your parents. Well, you get superb food there and Luba is feeding you as well very good. No problems to add weight so far ? Btw, I like potato pancakes as well but never seen that they can disappera in a mouth without even one bite. Your dad must have been very hungry but thats ok. Isnt it nice when the sun is shining again, green is coming out, bushes and trees get tiny green leafes and birds are siging enjoying their life. Nice clean house. Great homemade food. Your dad said primitive heating but I use firewood myself. I like it more then electrical heating. And in case of an emergency the woodstoves always work. The supermarket looked well stocked with food. That was a very tasty looking meal, even the stray cat got fed too. Great job on the cars upholstery. I hope both Luba and new Jack are both doing well.👍👍😊😊

We have to have horse radish at holiday meals, family tradition. My grandfather always had horse radish and hot pickled cherry peppers at every meal. Glad your parents are doing well.

Thank you for sharing. The country living there is pretty much the same as how I grew up in northern Ontario Canada. The only difference I see is our woodstoves were and are mostly metal. My bed was against the wall and in winter there would often be frost at the edge of the bedding. If no one got up to put wood in the stove we would awake to everything frozen including water. Mostly everything is modernized now but most people have no idea how lucky they are or appreciate what they have. I have huge admiration for your parents... lucky you! Please stay safe in these troubled times, you have many thousands of people praying and hoping for your safety. Slave Ukraine

I loved when your dad described his lighting of the stove as "living primitively". Knowing how well those brick heating stoves work to keep away the cold, there's nothing primitive about them, and that sleeping platform would have been toasty warm in winter! Thanks for this video clip, Pavlo!

Pavlo the food reminds me so much of my grandmothers, she was born and raised in Kiev before immigrating to Canada. Miss her dearly. I was so fortunate to spend so much time with her in a small community called Glendon in northeastern Alberta Canada. I'm getting too old now but I would love to see the Ukraine. God bless you all!

Your video reminds me of my younger years. Going to visit my Grandparents was always a treat. Cooking food from the root cellar. My grandmother’s canned peaches were the best. Ukraine will win this war. There is no doubt in my mind. and I wish you and Luba, all the happiness in the world.
