Another fantastic video of the beautiful country of Ukraine, the people of Ukraine, and your delightful family Pavlo. I'm so glad you created this channel so people around the world could see the beauties of Ukraine, the people of Ukraine, and your wonderful family. I really enjoy your cooking videos, it gives me chance to try different cuisine and see what other people eat in different countries. Please say hi to your Aunt for me, she has a wonderful home and I wish her good fortune and happiness. Please be safe and wish you well, from Wisconsin.
Your videos make my heart glow and put a big smile on my face, thank you for sharing. They take me back to when I have visited various parts of Ukraine visiting family and experiences all those wonderful experiences you share with us. I long for the day when I can return to visit again.
Speaking as someone who married a Ukrainian woman in 1998, your viewers could be very happy with your aunt. I have noticed myself that since 2014 that Ukraine has very gradually prospered and became a thriving economy. Maybe not the most prosperous in Europe, but certainly gradually getting better and better. The graft and corruption from the Soviet times was slowly but surely being replaced by hard work and free enterprise, accompanied by the gradually increasing prosperity of the average citizen. It really takes a generation for such a change to take root in a society. FYI, my wife is from Kherson.
@ John Emmert My wife is from Kherson as well. In fact, she was trapped there for 70 days because of the Russians. She had been visiting family and friends when the war started. Eventually she was able to make her way to Bucharest. It was from there that I went over and was able to get her and my daughter.
@@ibpsupplyman Glad they were able to get out OK. My wife's twin sister and her family managed to escape from Kherson to Kyiv at the end of May, beginning of June. Now her husband and son have both volunteered and are in the UAF near Mykoliave. They were both at sea (merchant marine) on February 24th, so they returned to Ukraine and volunteered.
Om my gosh, Sofia is so cute speaking English. 👍😊. Your aunt is a wonderful cheerful person and so kind. Pavlo, you must let us know if a good American man visits her LOL. Take care. Much love from Chicago to you and Luba
As an American, your videos but humble and inspire me. From my perspective, you are so much happier than we as you live so much more modest lives. You provide for yourselves in not only in harsh times, but also as tradition. You appreciate every single thing that you have and at the same time you are willing to share every little bit with the ones you love. This is a notion that seems to be lost here. As a father, Sofia is as cute as could be. Her efforts at English are heartwarming. Seeing moments like that make one reflect. We think we know so much, but we have so much to learn. Be strong, be happy, keep sharing, and please know that the American people support your battle for freedom and democracy.
Bravissimo signor Matt !!! ...condivido al 100 % quello che lei dice ,....anche perché conosco l ' Ucraina e ci vado almeno 2 volte all ' anno ...da 20 anni !
Great comment sir! It’s so good (and we are so lucky) that there are people like Pavlo who don’t mind sharing a little piece of their world with us! These videos remind me completely of my own childhood, and what my mothers side of the family is like (and for the older generations how they lived). I didn’t appreciate it as a child as I do now, and every opportunity I get to go to where that side of my family is from (and to be enveloped in this lifestyle) is probably the only time in my life nowadays where I can honestly say that I get excited (about anything)... Far too many of us have lost our way to our roots over the past number of generations, and as much as I am for progress (and made an excellent living as a result of it), I very much miss these simpler times and slower or less complicated means to make ends meet! As strange as it may sound to many to hear it (and even me say it), part of us needs to bring back certain aspects of the past, and do it pronto (before we lose them forever)... Everyone take care, and give those you love a big ole hug next time you see them! 😊
@@максим-б1в3к You mean thanks Putin don't you? If you believe the rubbish that comes out of the Kremlin, you'd believe anything. But then we all thought the Russian military was a formidable force too. Instead, they just bomb schools and hospitals and civilian infrastructure.
@@максим-б1в3к yes, you understood me... and no, that's not correct. But even if it was, it is in UKRAINE, not Russia. Russia has no right to interfere with another nation, let alone invade it. Putin overstepped, thinking Ukraine would fall over and Zelenskyy would run away. But what this illegal war has shown the world is that Russia has gone back to the days of Stalin. It's a terrible situation which should never have happened, and blame the west all you like, but nobody, and I mean NOBODY wants to invade Russia. You're being fed a whole lot of lies by your Government. It's laughable what Putin and Lavrov say. There will come a time when ordinary Russians realise this. Why do you think your military is having such a bad time? Where do you think the BILLIONS of rubles have gone that were supposed to be going into military funding over the years? Why do you think the new Russian T-14 tank is nowhere to be seen? Or for that matter, the SU-57's jets? Why do you think they are still in prototype after years? Think bro, just think.
"It is tasty petrol". This warms a Norwegian heart! Also, I am having my sister and her twins visiting as our mother/grandmother sadly was overcome by illness this spring. So I as their uncle planning a gingerbread house with the little duo as we celebrate grandmother. I thank you for giving me the design with this happiest of lovely houses both on the outside and with all the heart and human warmth and bravery existing on the inside. It reminds me of a little Pippi Longstockings (Пеппі Довгапанчоха) house. Your aunt's home is so reminiscent of my "grand-aunt's" place when I grew up (except it was high up on a valley slope here in Norway). With the horse, the "throne with a view" and the well (with the best water ever). Where I grew up, the building material is also wood. In the valleys of Norway, the annual rainfall is on a level with desert nations - so we have 1000-year-old wooden buildings still standing. Say hi to Sofia (6). She is lovely and she reminded me of how much I long to see Theo and Nova (they are both "just" 4) for Christmas. Her English is pitch-perfect - and with one new word per day she will be fluent in no-time 👍 Your video showed me more human dignity in 20 minutes than I normally get to meet on an entire normal TV Saturday evening. News from Ukraine is sadly (mostly) based on battles and missiles. I am glad to say that the Norwegian Broadcasting Company decided (finally) to place a "civilian foreign correspondent" in Ukraine just 3 days ago. Specifically to report on civilian life in Ukraine under attack. I think this is a very good and timely idea, as it is so easy to forget that lives are being lived and that your brother's newborn was given his name during these terrible times (luckily without him ever remembering this horrifying attack on your nation). I hope and believe that when he grows up, his only childhood memories will be that he was told about how Ukraine with a little help from the world threw out those who arrived with anger and destruction. A special message to your lovely aunt: My aunt (sister of our recently lost mother) - has been aiming for the American actor Kevin Costner since "Dancing with Wolves". In a race between the two aunts, my five cents are placed on your aunt in that competition. Finally: Some more good news. I am working part-time in my old local high school these days as I take care of the family home after our mother: On Thursday I was calmly walking towards the entrance of a shop to buy some sparkling water when I was crushed on speed by 5 girls at secondary-school age laughing loudly in their race while speaking teen-age fast in Ukrainian. I hid how happy that made me feel. Trust me - the aim of anyone with a brain over here is to help you to welcome those kids back in happy and great condition. Teenagers in all nations have had a rough time with lockdowns and separation from friends etc for way too many years already. I wish that young kids filled with life visiting from Ukraine right now never feel stuck. (your aunt's house made me feel my own safe and happy childhood, thus I am rambling it seems). Thanks.
This reminds me of what I grew up with. All of my grandparents came to the USA from Poland when they were young. They picked mushrooms and dried them on the woodshed roof. So many words you use I recognize, from them. My dad's parents used an outhouse until the early 1950's, then they had indoor plumbing and used a wood stove for most cooking until the late 60's ! ( my dad's mom loved her wood stove )! etc.,etc. Your video today was a special one Pavlo, and I admire your family life.
What's wrong with an outhouse? I'm a self made millionaire and still use one. I do have to admit that I don't linger "on the pot" for any length of time when it is -30 below zero out.
A few years ago I was thinking of buying a place in a Ukrainian village, after your property video. This is how I imagined it would be. Your aunt has really done an amazing job of preserving and looking after the property, respect. Thanks for another great video another great video. Glory to Ukraine and your great people, soldiers or not you are all heroes to me. Take care and keep your heads down
Thank you Pablo for sharing your beautiful family with us. Many times over the past few months I have thought about your mom and dad. Your dad was so proud of you you could see his happiness on his face. I think of your mom and dad often and I pray for their safety. Please let them know many people in America remember them from your videos and are praying for this horrible war to end. I still hope one day to get to visit your beautiful country
I think we are now spoilt in Western Europe, I loved the rural way of life as a child in the 1950's, don't miss the earth closet or the total lack of indoor plumbing, except for a single cold water tap in the kitchen. I hope the war doesn't touch them there. Love and hugs to you all
Thank you for sharing your aunt’s cooking /drying methods & beautiful layout of regional foods! I’m viewing before lunchtime (12:00 Noon).. and it’s made me very hungry! Blessings to you and your family. 🕊 (ps. This video /vlog’s a lovely gift for your nieces, nephews, children & future generations to cherish. Thanks again for sharing the joy & history of your beautiful family!)
We are praying this war will end soon. So, everyone returned to their peaceful way of life. We appreciate you sharing this lovely video during this troubling time. We hope the best for you.
Thank you Pavlo, I felt like I was home in northern Ontario Canada... There is a large Ukrainian community, in my home town, and I had many friends growing up who are Ukrainian. It was really nice of your aunt to show us her home .... she is keeping it real! Peace
Looks alot like when I go to the villages here in Lithuania. So nice and peaceful and a different way of life many have forgotten or never even experienced. It's a hard life life but a good life. I hope Sofia will see a better Ukraine and a better world.
We cross our fingers that peace will return to your beautiful country as soon as possible! And thank you so much for sharing what you have to show to us!
I loved your visit with your aunt. She has such a beautiful spirit. Sophia is so cute and I love hearing her speak in English. I can actually understand some of the Ukrainian language as you are talking.
Thank you, Pavlo, for sharing such precious memories from your childhood with us! Looks similar to the Romanian countryside houses. I am one of the 90s kids who grew up in the Romanian countryside. Life was so cosy...
God bless you and Luba…. And your beautiful family ❤️❤️. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I enjoyed how open and hospitable your Aunt is…. Pavlo- thank you so much for sharing your life with us🙏. Be Safe…
Brother, all your videos are different, there is something to be seen in every video, you get to know the culture and environment of your country, stay connected with us like this and keep smiling.
What I don't understand is how the outside of every poor house n Ukraine is so run down and not at all maintained. Weeds everywhere, everything broken. It doesn't take money to stand a fence back up after it's fallen down (see 2:21), and yet it sits there year after year, tumbled over, rotting and covered in vines and weeds. Why is this? Have the Ukrainian people simply given up? Being poor shouldn't mean abandoning basic yard maintenance and trying to keep things clean and orderly. Are they are so broken in spirit that they have simply stopped trying? Educate me.
Blessings to these people who see life far more better than what others may think of them with their "...[mere] broken fence... [and the way their yard looks]...". You failed to see the efforts of what really matters in their life ... and to be honest these people do not need to educate you to the enlightenment that you have yet to arrive at.
Such beautiful simple life to really appreciate 🙏🏻Everything made by hand with love ❤️ The Ukrainians are beautiful people🙏🏻❤️💙🙏🏻Prayers and Blessings from the USA 🇺🇸🇺🇦Slava Ukraina
You're aunt is an incredible woman! I wish I was even half as industrious as her. Also, it's funny she challenged American builders. Most of the construction laborers in my state (Texas) are Mexicans. 😆
Thank you so much for sharing some of your family life, Pavlo. Your aunt is a lovely woman and has a beautiful home. Little Sofia is incredibly cute and charming! She made me smile a lot. 😀
That was wonderful to see. Your Aunt is beautiful! If I was 53+, retired and single, I’d move there and marry her in a heartbeat. I hope a nice guy does it. ❤
These videos are great. The real family life and real life in Ukraine. Sofia is such a beautiful little kid. And she is learning two languages will be valuable to her someday. I hope everyone stays safe.
Some day I would love to visit the Ukraine from your videos. So simple but so complex. It’s so refreshing to see that people can and should survive by “the old” ways:)
I loved watching this video, I hope once the war has ended I will get the opportunity to visit the Ukraine! I absolutely LOVE the way you guys live and make use of every tiny thing!I NOTHING is wasted! You have so much value for EVERYTHING and so much LOVE for each other! I'm very envious of you and your way of life! X
I am so so happy to see y'all are still partying, still gathering as a family, still eating absolutely AMAZING and tasty looking Ukrainian food and just being so adorable. Your aunt is such a precious and hardworking soul like your mama. Ukraine is definitely deeper in my heart and I am with all of you in prayer ✝️🙏🕊💐💖🌈🇺🇦🇺🇸.
I accidentally saw your video with your aunt and it brought such great memories of my childhood. I was born in Poland and now live in America. When I was a kid I would spend my summers on my grandparents farm. All family would come together and stay on the farm for the summer. Living in a city most of the year and going on farm for summer was awesome. Your aunt reminds me of my aunts. Such caring and loving people they are. Your post reminded me of great childhood memories, that I miss fly family back home. Thank you. Slave ukraina
Thank you Pavlo and Luba for sharing your country family and perspectives. More videos like this please! I grew up in the polish countryside and brings back soooo many memories
Pavlo, the way you put together your videos is truly fantastic. I in England, feel as though I now know so much about your lovely country and loving family. I often think I can smell the food and smoke from the fires. You should become a professional TV documentary maker!

I ❤ seeing these people who live still in the villages. Some are sad and some are happy. So glad that your aunt is a happy one. This was three weeks ago, I hope she is still well. Glory to the Heroes, Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦
Thank you for sharing your beautiful family and sharing those who are so precious to you, all beautiful and pleasant! So many interesting things compared to live in USA, however my youth was also Blessed with lots of family and "old" ways cooking, living, earning a living....those times may be difficult but the people then where often so happy with much less than we have today. Showing your meal was great, to have know more of what the different items were would be fun also. Your aunt is a wonderful lady with many skills, drying plants for later use, making wine, keeping a house in order, should an American visit her may it be a man who treats her with great respect.
Pavlo, thank you so much for sharing more of your family with us. You have a beautiful family and you give us such a rich picture of Ukrainian life. The meals always are so filled with love!
Wow, Dyakuyu, thank you, for taking us to this beautiful village! Your aunt's fireplace/stove is VERY well designed! I'm so impressed that she can also dry her clothes near it--that's so practical. She is well-stocked with the dried mushrooms. Maybe storing them to eat during the winter? It's a little scary to know that it is so close to the border with Belarus. I think it is practical to encourage kids to practicing English! Keep safe!
Such a beautiful video. ❤️ Your countryside is so lovely and I feel privileged to get to visit with your aunt too. I could feel your sadness as you were leaving. It is emotional when we visit childhood places that meant a lot to us. So wonderful your family is still there and you can visit. God bless you all.
So good to see generations still enjoying life, as life was meant to be enjoyed. Though I think you need to update them roads Pavlo, as them pot holes look mighty deep and I'd hate to screw up my allows and springs travelling at speed to reach Auntie's house for Soup and Bread. Cheers for sharing and holding back the tears.
@@AmGr50 Naaaw! Don't bully the baby please! That's not very nice! Love Pavlo and Luba BTW, they have given a very nice/important perspective on this war.
Pavlo, thx for sharing video of visit with your Auntie. I'm sure before long she will have to chase American men away from the house . Her house beautiful, she's not afraid of work, plenty of food and wine..what else does a man need?
Pavlo, I could see you were sad to leave as you walked out the door. I saw the sadness in your eyes. It's OK. Childhood memories are very precious to us all. Life is about the love and joy of family being together. Even though your visit with your aunt and family was short the love and memories you made in one day will stay in your heart for your lifetime. Stay safe and warm. Blessings and love from me in NY USA 🇺🇸. Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦❤
I wanted to visit Ukraine but then came Covid and the rest we know. Biggest respect to all heroic Ukrainians who have to endure the neighbor who thinks that Ukraine as a state should not exist. Independence and the right to self determination and freedom is the biggest cause and we know from experience. Inflation etc is nothing compared what you go through. Greetings from Finland
Pavlo you are a lucky man to have many close friends and family. Thank you for sharing all of them with us and their warm beautiful homes. I heard you say spasibo and paka these are the few russian words i know. How do you say these in Ukranian? I will have to learn this also. You know Russian Ukrainian and English. Do you know other languages ? I understand sometimes it is sad to go back to your old home and then leave. Enjoy. your trip.
