I am sure it's not easy but humping drywall and hanging 5/8s on the ceiling all day really does suck and is hard on the body. My body was constantly achy. I would have to go into small places like this poor guy in the trailer. I am taking a welding course and hoping this will be my career until I retire. I am 35.
Cool video. I just started my second week of welding school so don't know too much about the trade yet. It's been very fun though; very cool to see what a fab shop looks like!
Thank you so much! Yeah I know welding takes skill but after you get good at it , it feels like your a robot and you could teach a monkey to do your job hey? Hahah I know that’s how I felt anyways .. but yeah it definitely takes a lot of work but the feeling I get when I finish editing a video and watch it thinking to myself “damn I made that “ is a really good feeling , just like how we would look at a finished project and think “ damn I fabricated that “ lol
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Abram Nehemiah thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I’m 16 in highschool and I’m very interested in taking this trade. I’d love to learn the skill of welding and want a job that I enjoy, if I’m gonna be working for decades I want it to be something that I like! I’m also quite excited for the salary lol
awesome too see.. beginner welder here barely 50 hours and it’s nice too see a bit into what you do and the different machines, and things you had too use. great job.. maybe try and show your welds more but otherwise great video
I’m a food grade stainless steel fabricator, I’ve been doing it now for about 2.5yrs. I love it so far, very fulfilling.. especially when you build a big ass project and it comes out square and level! Love to see the Respirator!
Thank you for the video! I'm interested in taking this trade after leaving cabinetmaking, looks more fun! I took intro courses, safety courses (fucking expensive but they are required by welding union in my city for better wage). I noticed you decided to follow your passion instead of working, whatever it is, I hope you found and am still holding that!
Thanks so much for that I really appreciate that. I started a videography business !! I am going to start uploading more videos soon. It is really fun work and I do miss welding some days. Again I appreciate your comment
i work in a fabrication shop too, do almost the exact same thing as you do. but with a little music you made your life look alot more epic than mine. lol
i started of doing shut downs in saw mills and paper mills and after that i did my welding diploma in quebec 1800hours and after that pipe welding tig stick and mig aftert that i ve been working as welder in a saw mill and love my job always some thing different one day fixed machinerie maintenance to a other day a convator modification and welding ⚡⚡ but and heers out to Metal marquis and Temisko👍🏼👍🏼👍👍🏼
Whatsup cool video... I am a stick welder myself... Looking into buying a mig later on within time.. keep up the videos .. I just made a RU-vid channel myself with some information that will benefit your or anyone in here ... 👍🏼🤟🏼👏🏼
Turns out welders put their pants on one leg at a time just like everyone else. How come you didn't show the part where you snuggled in the trailer box to hold your buddies valve?
Hahah when I was recording this video I totally mis-understood what he said I thought he said “ no I’m good “ so I just walked away 😂 watching this after I realized he asked for my help
Can someone get back to me whenever u can. But how hard is it to make 30 plus an hour as a welder. I saw that there are some huge companies that pay a lot. But that’s prolly not where I’ll be. So is it u heard of for someone young to get a job welding somewhere for 30 plus an hour?
You have to start somewhere, get hired pushing a broom for $20 Hr then maybe the boss will see potential if you work hard and teach you how to weld or if you know how to weld after pushing broom for a while show him your work ! Gotta work for it.
Hi! Thanks for the video. I was recently accepted into a welding program, and was glad to see your video since you were working in a shop. I read that many welders travel for work. Can you tell me if this is a personal choice, or a requirement? I’d rather stay at home if at all possible. Thanks!
Depend on what kind of welding , pipeline welding ? Shop fabricator? Field fab ? If your just planning on getting a shop job you will be fine but pipeline welders and field fabricators are almost always on the move/in camp
@@JoshuaFoxVandonselaaryeah we were mostly fastening rubber and plastic parts on racks after they were welded and painted sometimes there are missing welds or parts then we had to fix it
@Insomniac your acting like subscribing is the end of the world lol , %97 of people who watch my videos aren’t subscribers so it’s not a big task for me to ask you guys to do for watching free videos
Not long before your making good money , you can get a job sweeping the floor of a welding shop for $18-$20 an hour and slowly learn from there how to weld. Once you can weld and pass your CWB test your a certified welder
because I really need the job, apart from that, I also like the job and I am the type of person who adapts easily and quickly learns and understands new things.
