What we got up to in this video...
Welcome to beautiful Vigan!
Imagine stepping back in time or what I said it’s like stepping onto a Wild West movie set! What a beautiful city with amazing food!
Unfortunately due to the recent earthquake we couldn’t visit a lot of the areas and it’s very sad to see the damage it has caused to the city. Even with this it was still so beautiful to walk around and we hope that it all goes back to normal soon.
We tried a traditional breakfast and also their very famous empanadas! DELICIOUS!
We hoped you enjoyed this video and if you did then please show us some support by subscribing to our channel and being part of the on the move community!

We LOVED our trip to The Philippines and we went to 14 different places in total from going all the way up North here in Vigan, to the islands down South with the bluest water we have ever seen! 🇵🇭 We enjoyed many adventures together in this beautiful country and tried as much food as we could fit in too! We would really appreciate any recommendations and ideas for our next trip, anything we missed? Where do you think we’d enjoy exploring next? Love anything “silog”! Si for sinangag (garlic fried rice) and log for itlog (eggs) and always come with some form of viand e.g. Tocino (to-si-no) so it would be Tosilog; And Longganisa (Long-ga-ni-sa) plus silog is Longsilog. My favourite s Bangsilog, Bang for Bangus (milk fish). Enjoy your time in Vigan, thanks for taking us with you ❤❤❤🇦🇺🇵🇭

Yes guys, Vigan was actually heavily damaged by the recent earthquake :( I actually thought you knew about it before going there. But i was surprised that it looked quite presentable in your video coz from what i've heard before, they say it will take like 10 years or so to completely repair all damages. The epicenter was actually further north in Abra but it was so strong that we felt it here in Manila as well. Plus there were plenty of aftershocks days after. And i believe there was another strong one that happened weeks later. Can't remember the dates anymore. Sadly, PH is really calamity-prone, being both in the Typhoon Belt and the Pacific Ring of Fire (why we have plenty of volcanos too). But inspite of all these challenges, we continue to have a positive outlook on life and remain one of the happiest people in the world. :)
@moondustgirl2132

Btw, i think it would have been better if you just went to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan province. It's a historic resort with 40 original Spanish-Filipino Colonial structures that were transplanted there from different places. Maybe consider it next time. :)

You guys are so cute! I think you’re one of the few vloggers I’ve watched that actually managed to see A LOT of places in the Philippines! I kind of grew up there and left when I was 14 & haven’t really had the opportunity to see other spots. Originally from Pampanga but I’ve been to Ilocos Sur & Coron. Sorry I wish I knew your name but you did pronounce the sausage right “long-ga-knee-sa” 👍. The Tocino (cured pork is typically marinated in salt and some sugar) and it’s pronounced “toh-see-no”. While in vigan you have to have to try these: bibingka (it’s different from the ones they have in Manila or Pampanga) .. it’s more like buttery yummy mochi cake, bagnet (double fried pork belly), and their local empanada (again tastes different from the ones down south). Fun!! Can’t wait to see where you go next!❤
@Onthemovetravelstories
@Onthemovetravelstories Год назад
Thank you for all the recommendations 🤩

Cute how you pronounced Tocino as how people in the UK will pronounce the "C" in Celtic. In Filipino it's actually "toh-see-noh". Hehe. Really enjoying your videos.

Also eating rice in the Philippines, you need to swiitch your utensils. The spoon to your right, to scoop the rice and cut through meat. They don't use knives while eating. Use the fork to push the rice to your spoon. It's easier that way.

Vigan is in Ilocus Sur and Ilocos Norte is also stunning.It’s the place of the current President. The place was the setting of the Filipino-Thai movie called Suddenly It’s Magic. It featured the famous Thai actor Mario Maurer and the Filipina Actress Erich Gonzales.It’s a Romantic Comedy movie and it’s a good movie.

You must savor tsokolate. It’s traditional Filipino hot cocoa. Made from locally grown cocoa beans. Simply amazing! Vigan was recently struck by an earthquake registered at 7.2-7.8 in the Richter Scale. Very, very strong and devastating earthquake.the Philippines was formed by volcanoes millions of years ago because it is located in the Ring of Fire. It is often visited by typhoons or earthquakes. This has made the Filipino to be resilient.

Face mask is voluntary indoor and outdoor. You may remove your face mask outdoor (except if you are in transpo). Some other malls still require indoor wearing but have seen some do not wear.

usually called tocilog (tocino, "sinangag"-fried rice, "itlog"-egg) and longsilog (longganisa, sinangag, and egg). tocino is pronounced "to-si-no" and you actually pronounced longganisa correctly and its funny how you were the one to apologize even though it was correct 😆
