I've said it before, in my next life I better have my life begin and end in Alaska. It's hard work but oh so many majestic things to see during the nice weather that more than makes up for harsh winters. I love seeing your videos so I can go along for the ride. You have a beautiful family, very blessed. That tunnel would scare me a little, but I would do it. Stay safe everyone.

Hey Stephanie! I hope you can at least visit one day, I know you would love it! We try to embrace and enjoy each season up here and that makes winter bearable. Thanks for taking the time to write such nice comments, I’m grateful you’re here!

I love how you turn the fun family outing into an opportunity to learn in nature with the mushroom foraging and the salmon and slugs. It's always more memorable when you learn in nature like that.

We have those 1 tonne gravel and slate bags dropped near where I live in the Peak District. They fly them in 1 by 1 by helicopter, hover over the ground and release the bag to the ground. Then volunteers and park rangers come out and scatter the gravel and slate on the footpaths. They also fly in stones for dry stone walling if necessary, although most of that is done with the stones found in situ. I've also seen feed for cattle, and bags of water dropped on fires from helicopters. Some of the mountain rescue/coastguards use helicopters to help reach remote places

So amazing! Thank you for sharing. It seems like a big project and I am thankful to the people that upkeep the trail, it was so nice. I have seen Helicopters flying in supplies at our cabin as well as water. Amazing and talented helicopter pilots!

Hi Friends, l couldn't wait to get into bed and end my day with a beautiful uplifting video, it's like heaven on earth. The drone shots priceless, tourism Alaska needs to start sponsoring this channel your editing, choice of music and sharp eye for filming is really something special not to mention your passion to show the world what you see each and every day. That building that's self contained for residents is very similar to HDB buildings in Singapore they are exactly the same and have a small store, post office, sometimes a bank and everything you might need all in one building that's how they do it there. Thankyou for sharing, loved seeing Everett enjoying the tunnel so cute👍

What snow boots and socks do you guys use? I know that’s random but your temperatures are much colder then by me in NY. I need a good pair of boots and socks.

We wear a lot of BOGG boots around here. We love smartwool socks and the wool blend socks from Costco. We also like Sorrel boots. Hope that helps!

Is it true They pay you to live in Alaska?
@ThisAlaskaLife
@ThisAlaskaLife 2 года назад
We receive a pfd every year. It is money from oil revenues. It ranges from $300-$2,000 which is nice, but not enough to cover the high cost of living here.
