When my daughter went to the University of California, Santa Cruz, she said a number of the students either lived in the cars or in the forest surrounding the campus. The weather is much nicer in California. I am from Chicago. Frankly, the weather was so miserable, I have never been back. You might want to consider transferring to California. Its also safer than Chicago.

I am moving back to California, stayed in Chicago for one and half a year for work. I loved it, hard to believe, but I did enjoy the winter.

Thank you, I lived in LA for 8,9 years, moved to chichao in the winter of 2020, and I've been having a blast in Midwest. Can't wait to go back, miss all the good food there, and all the natures for camping/backpacking

I live in Illinois as well. I'd like to try this for one year, but I'm concerned about the weather. Summers are too hot, and Jan through Feb are too cold.

The humid summer wasn’t fun, but I’m fine with the winter because I have my backpacking gears which I could use even to negative 30,40 degrees, and in Chicago, it only got down to single digital last winter, so I was fine with just one of my winter sleeping bag. I can tell it would be difficult for most of people, but I do solo backpack in the snow without tent, so it’s different for me

Oh no, I chose this way to live my life to the fullest. I’m not like some people who lives in a car due to financial problems. I do what I feel like doing, and I really enjoy it We only live once, I’m exploring different ways of living.

Fresh start in a new state 🤍 I was homeless a few years ago for like 3 months I lived in my car and I never really slept well at night because I was always aware of my surroundings. Here in the UK we have a lot of people living and sleeping in cars, it shouldn't be this way but blame that on the cost of living................BUT then again we all like the concept of tiny living, the freedom to go where you want, no bills, no mortgage and fewer personal possessions that clutter all our lives.

I’m not sure where your medical center is. But I often found parking spots when I lived Chicago, as long as it doesn’t require permits for parking, like near some parks, apartments buildings, etc

@@treecepoirier3035 hard to be believed, but I really enjoy the winter here, I drove to Wisconsin all the time because it’s even colder up north. You can tell how much I like winter. I have the right gears that help me to enjoy freezing temperatures ( I only just used my -20 sleeping bag for the coldest days, I think I should be fine to easily to go down to negative 40,50,60 combining with all my sleeping bags together if needed. I have three sleeping bags, plus blankets and down clothing) Kind of sad winter is over

I am always amazed at how confident you seem in the cold weather. My daughter is 3 and she loves watching your videos. Especially when you show pictures of dogs and birds. We try to hike/camp every weekend also.
